To think putting a gravel pit at the side of the road is bloody stupid!

We are going away for the weekend and DD2 suddenly starts being sick. I pulled over quickly and am now stuck in a fucking gravel trap! I can't get the car to move at all! DD2 is covered in sick, the car smells and everyone is just driving past!

It is on a hill but not excessively steep. I just panicked when she started to be sick so pulled over at some the nearest point.

This really is just my luck!

Thank you. RAC man is here just waiting for the police to close the road Blush

If you get stuck in traffic on the A35 (I think) between honiton and Weymouth I am very sorry!

YABU. Your daughter being sick isn't the end of the world, would you have stopped on a motorway hard shoulder?

AmeliaToppingLovesShopping · 05/04/2014 12:37

Yes.

YABU really in retrospect you should have waited for somewhere safe to pull over. DS sick in car just before Christmas, had to carry on driving as there was nowhere safe to stop on the narrow country road we were on.

RedHelenB · 05/04/2014 12:41

Hope you've been rescused & are on your way again now.

AmeliaToppingLovesShopping · 05/04/2014 12:45

Yes IABU I should have waited but DD2 was hysterical So I panicked all sorted now.

Glad you're sorted. Stopping on a motorway hard shoulder is so incredibly dangerous. Hope it never happens on a motorway.

You would be glad of the gravel trap if your brakes failed, or those of the Lorry behind you...
