Not aibu need traffic. I was up feeding baby when i could hear a shed door banging. Looked outside window and next doors got someone walking around their garden with a torch. They have an outhouse/jucuzzi ect so expensive stuff. I forget lights on therefor i can be seen lookig out. Pretty sure torch was directed at my window which has scared me. Not sure whether to call 101 or not ?? What would you do??

Have to say I totally empathise with you OP. After all, even if their stuff is being nicked, it's still only stuff - you believed you and your new baby had been seen in the middle of the night by someone doing something sinister and criminal outside your window. You were worried about your personal safety. That would be terrifying for anyone and I am sorry you got such a telling off on here, especially given you had signed off to actually follow the advice.
Don't feel bad and hope you feel safe and happy tonight.

He's a taxi driver he does night shifts.
I feel safer tonight though.
Thanks for kinder replies x

Your neighbor should have thanked you, what a grumpy old coot. You did not know he does this rummaging around with a flashlight, and did the right thing in calling the cops.

FutTheShuckUp · 31/03/2014 07:15

Earlier you said you were too frightened to call and now that's changed to you did call?

KeatsiePie · 31/03/2014 07:24

She said she was frightened to call (which I think is understandable) and then she said she did call a bit later.

HowContraryMary · 31/03/2014 07:28

Your neighbour might be a burglar and stashing his ill gotten gains in the shed. Burglars have to live somewhere.

Things can be replaced, that's what insurance is for.
