I got an amazing deal on ebay for two breaks to blackpool and I payed 20 for two nights for two Adults and 27 for three nights for two adults and a childchild I have subsistent ly found out that the rooms have no on suite and it's one bathroom for all 10 rooms. There's no breakfast included. Do thinks I'm being unreasonable to cut a loss and book somewhere else and that we should duck it up and go. Wwud?

I've stayed in some beyond grim places in Blackpool, wild horses could not drag me to stay in a place where I had to share a bathroom with 10 strangers.

Patchouli · 25/03/2014 21:06

Amazing deal or grim B&B?
eBay wouldn't occur to me as a place to book accommodation.
You looked on Trip Advisor?

expatinscotland · 25/03/2014 21:09

ONE bathroom for 10 rooms?! Even the hostels we've stayed in haven't been that bad.

Cut your losses now.

zobey · 25/03/2014 21:10

I showed dh the pictures before I booked it and he agreed it looked nice and it was when we got the confirmation through we found all this out.

Linky?

ilovesooty · 25/03/2014 21:15

I would have thought prices like that would have made you check it out before you committed to buy.

I went to university where we had that sort of bathroom ratio in halls of residence.

AwfulMaureen · 25/03/2014 21:16

dont go!

zobey · 25/03/2014 21:17

Can't do a link on my phone. Can anyone suggest a nice hotel in blackpool for about 50-60 per night?

Not sure they can have that many rooms per bathroom. I wouldn't go. Are you sure you correct. Check trip advisor. With that many rooms per bathroom there be a long wait in the morning....

IamInvisible · 25/03/2014 21:23

I wouldn't go. I wouldn't go anywhere where there isn't an ensuite, tbh.

trambampoline · 25/03/2014 21:24

even if it was en suite i think youve been overcharged... blackpool shudder

zobey · 25/03/2014 21:45

Anyone stayed at the hilt on in blackpool? Is it worth 158 for two nights??

OP posts:
zobey · 25/03/2014 21:45

Hilton even!

ilovesooty · 25/03/2014 21:45

I like Blackpool. But at this price I'd assume there was a snag.

ilovesooty · 25/03/2014 21:49

Well the Hilton is judged good enough to accommodate conference delegates.

The Best Western Carlton is fine but not exciting. The Queen's Promenade is number 1 on Trip Advisor. I've stayed there recently and it's lovely.

ineedabodytransplant · 26/03/2014 16:09

to be honest a Premier would be so much cleaner, with breakfast included etc. And you have your own bathroom Grin

I would never, ever share a bathroom with strangers. Especially not if I had my child with me.

JeanSeberg · 26/03/2014 16:14

Premier Inn next to the Pleasure Beach from 39 per room.

Glampinglove · 26/03/2014 17:29

I have stayed the Hawkes Hotel which is clean and friendly, it is right near the Pleasure Beach. It is not expensive and I would gladly stay there again.

I've booked the elgin for when dh and I go. I've gone for the bed breakfast and evening meal and got a great deal it's 40 pppn so I'm happy with that. The travel lodge works out more expensive than the elgin for when I go back with my dd in October. Thanks all i'm sorted now.
