...if they also give you the facility to cancel online?

I'm trying to make some small economies so am cancelling various subscriptions. It's costing me more in phone calls (not to mention time) because too many of them don't have an online cancellation option.

I can see why they do it but it's bordering on unethical.

Grrrrrrrr...

YADNU.

I guess a lot are hoping that people don't cancel/can't cancel/delay cancelling because it is difficult to do

Write a letter to their registered address with a second class stamp. I can never be arsed to navigate phone systems...

It's really bloody annoying isn't it?! The worst thing is, I signed up to Credit Expert for me and separately DH (as I know all his details etc) but with both sets of money coming out of my account. I had to phone to cancel mine, but cannot cancel DH's. And as it's a recurring payment I can't even cancel it with the bloody bank! So frustrating!

Moodykat Credit Expert was one of the culprits!

Moodykat write and print off a letter from your DH telling them to terminate the account. Then all he has to do is sign the bloody thing.
