Not to like the song about "perfect imperfections"

Don't know who it's by but it's on the radio a lot at the moment. It makes me cringe. It comes across as patronising at best to me. I'm hugely "imperfect" but lucky to have a dh who finds me attractive without needing to refer to my "imperfections", perfect or otherwise. If the guy in the song wants to reassure his girlfriend/wife etc, just tell her she's beautiful in an unqualified way.

Don't think perfect imperfections means just their body image.

I love that tune

I really like it - if it's the song I think you're talking about.
John Legend 'all of me' ?

It's just a song

WisneaMe · 14/03/2014 22:34

I love the tiesto remix (the first I heard of it)

Abbierhodes · 14/03/2014 23:25

Well, by that argument, why should he tell her she's beautiful? Why not just love her regardless?

I know some MNers do 'professionally offended' really well, but you're scraping the barrel here.

Fair enough! Genuinely why I post on Aibu - get over yourself is the right response sometimes!
