To hate it when people sell things in bad condition?!

We've been looking for a new highchair for dd, something without a tray that can be pulled up to the kitchen table so that she's higher than eye level with the table!

The best one we could find was selling in Argos for £79.99, but I posted an ad on a local Facebook selling page and someone had one that was perfect for a fraction of the cost, the photo was lovely, she said it was in good condition, so we risked it.

Hubby's brought it home this evening and it's gross, there's mould all over the trim and round the back of it and it looks like it hasn't seen a clean since it was bought.

AIBU to think people should clean things before they sell them???? Or at least warn potential buyers of the condition!

Antilop is great, unless you are clumsy. We passed ours on as we were constantly tripping over the legs!

I agree with checking before handing over money and taking.

Does anyone know whether the antilop is good? Grin

I bought a filthy crappy highchair once because I was too polite to say no thanks, then I trapped my finger in the poxy thing coming down their garden path, and felt sick with pain all the way home Angry

Another vote for Antilop if OP has an IKEA anywhere nearby. Worth looking out for second hand too (but if you give them £10 you're giving them nearly all their money back).

PIL were looking for a car seat for their car for when they took our pfb out. The first one they found had obviously been stored in a garage or shed and was thick with mould. Even after intensive cleaning it was fit only for the bin.

What's wrong with people? More concerning is when it's in bin-condition and they've obviously been using it until very recently. Bleeeeeeeeee!
