If the OP was concerned about her security then she wouldn't have posted on social media sites under her own name and having no security settings on her FB account.

It was genuine - too genuine. A quick poke about and the OP's name, location, photos and all sorts of other info was there for the reading.

I'm hoping, despite the quite bizarre potty behaviour, that she has sorted out her security settings now.

What were the security concerns? Did dark haired Peter Jones manager read the thread? I'm sure if she had she would've been pleased everyone was on her side.

The thread did turn pretty vile. People found her facebook page and were making really nasty comments. Mumsnet really had to delete the thread.

Its a pity as the thread was hilerous.

She revealed her own surname by referring to her husband as Mr G---t in the OP...

Hi all, sorry to disappoint you by deleting the thread. We had no reason to suspect the OP wasn't genuine, it was removed as there was barely any security on the OP's Facebook page, which we felt was more than likely a oversight by the OP.

Is there genuinely a classics section??? Where is it???

I thought the thread was funny at first, but once I realised that all her personal details, photos etc...were out there....I didn't really think it funny anymore and I'm glad MNHQ deleted the thread.

I am a bit confused how she could be found on fb though just from the surname of her husband (which wasn't uncommon) I need better stalking skills obviously!

I am sure I am not imagining it, but wasn't there an identical thread last year, but set in the tesco clothes dept, a bit less salubrious than PJ Curtain Dept, but I am sure it involved emails and other social media moanings

sillymb - she had written a complaint on the Peter Jones Facebook page that was identical to the thread she posted on here, so you could click on her name and look at all her posts and photos as she had no security on her Facebook page. The post on the Peter Jones page has now been deleted and she has made her Fb page private.
