To be a sneaky, lunch-police little buggar?

DH lunch bag is on the kitchen counter. He is on the school run. It contains:

Left over cold pizza (hm)
3 rounds of sandwiches
3 packets of crisps
1 pack of dollymixture!

I have replaced 2 packs of crisps with some popcorn, added 2 oranges...and tied it up again so he doesn't notice. AIBU to think he should be setting a better example to the kids? And AIBU to be so sneaky? Grin

I'd be seriously pissed off if my OH did that.

MostlyMama · 10/03/2014 09:34

Here we go....

VivaLeBeaver · 10/03/2014 09:35

I'd be annoyed if dh changed my lunch around. Actually I'd be furious.

Does sound a lot of food though.

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:36

You'd be pissed off if your DH swapped your lunch? Or if a grown man took dolly mixture to eat?

ynbu id have found it funny.. but it would start a chain reaction of getting my own back..

but id also add a little sickly sweet note like "i love you" becasue i like small things like that.

wonderingsoul · 10/03/2014 09:38

heeeyy ybu to dis dolly mixtures though.. they are awesome.. i like the square ones and jelly bits. i also like to flatten them before eating them!

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:38

Aw, you know, I'm feeling pretty stupid now. IWDBU...going to swap it back.

Actually it depends if the oranges were the easy peeling ones or proper big oranges. If you put those big ones in there I'd be pissed off. Maybe you should think about putting a more filling fruit in there like a banana? Oranges are just liquid IMO.

formerbabe · 10/03/2014 09:40

He's a grown up so can eat whatever he wants. Do your children even notice?

Oldraver · 10/03/2014 09:41

When you say three 'rounds' of sandwiches, do you mean three lots of two slices ? That is a lot of food

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:41

I have seriously just talked myself around to BU on my own thread, haven't I?

givemeaclue · 10/03/2014 09:42

Is he a grown up?

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:42

No three rounds of bread!

VivaLeBeaver · 10/03/2014 09:43

Oh I thought you meant six slices as well.

I get confused by "rounds".

Fakebook · 10/03/2014 09:44

^^

You're on the wrong forum. Wink

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:44

I think as long as the dolly mixtures stay, that's fine. Can you pop some jalapeños on the pizza? Probably too late now.

BeverleyMoss · 10/03/2014 09:45

Three slices of bread? That's one and a half rounds innit?

::misses point of thread::

BuggarMeGently · 10/03/2014 09:45

FB MN I meant!

My DH would just smile, I'm forever hiding biscuits and ticking him off for doughnuts.

He's almost 50, but he still likes behaving like he's 10

VivaLeBeaver · 10/03/2014 09:46

I asked Jeeves,

"A round of toast is a single slice of bread or toast or two slices making a single serving of sandwiches. The number of slices depends on the number of people you are catering for. It is commonly thought to be two slices for each person."

I'm still confused. A round is one slice if its toast? But its two slices if its bread? Hmm

Sorry, but I need to clear this up as I've often wondered.
