Not to make DS breakfast

He is 14 says he's hungry but doesn't know what he wants. I have made suggestions now he is banging and crashing around in the kitchen. Surely I am not expected to produce a full cooked breakfast just coz he moans.

Leave him to it.

MrsDavidBowie · 08/03/2014 11:05

Who cooks teenagers breakfasts?
I certainly don't. They know where everything is.

MammaTJ · 08/03/2014 11:08

No YANBU!!

mrsjay · 08/03/2014 11:08

I don't cook my dds breakfast either leave him he won't starve I suspect the banging and huffing will annoy you and then you will feel guilty suck it up and leave him to it Grin

stella69x · 08/03/2014 11:17

He made his own, didn't make me any thou. I usually make weekend breakfasts but cba today. Week days it's a fend for yourself approach so this is no big deal really just the banging and huffing and puffing got in my nerves

oh i cant stand them huffing and puffing it is so dramatic

Supercosy · 08/03/2014 11:47

Glad you left him to it. Definitely the right approach. I can't stand that "what do you want?" followed by them saying "Errrrmmmm, Errrmmmmm, Oh, I don't know, what is there......I don't know" Aaaaaarrrggh! As if you want to stand around waiting for their response for 20 mins!

daisychain01 · 08/03/2014 12:38

I just say "bagels today?", "weetabix today?" "Pancakes today?"

No choice just get it down your fat neck

DSS knows thats the score!

Cruel woman.

bishbashboosh · 08/03/2014 15:43

I get the banging and crashing too

He does this when there isn't what he fancies!

Grunt grunt

Let him grunt to his own

I never give mine breakfast during the week - as in they help themselves to the bowls, spoons, milk & cereal and help the younger ones.

at 14 he should have served you breakfast!Wink

BackforGood · 08/03/2014 16:16
