Nights in with OH

AIBU to be hacked off if nights in, especially at the weekend, purely consist of eating junk, watching tv & possibly drinking two glasses of cider. OH only ever drinks coffee (about a thousand cups a day!). Boredom threshold has well and truly had it!! Please give me some ideas!! Sad

Couldn't you invite some friends over? Get a takeaway (or cook something simple) and either have a laugh just chatting or get some silly board games? (Cranium, articulate, etc)

Just shag him? :)

It's the same for me and my DH. Trouble is, he works long unpredictable hours and I'm a SAHM. He cherishes his time sitting and relaxing at home, I prefer to be out.

I think most couples do a lot of sitting in front of the tv - it gets to me sometimes as well. I solve the issue by going out and doing things on my own - gym/swimming/an evening class.

OH is often out socialising and sometimes I love coming home and having the tv to myself!

If we're both in often the tele will be on but I'll be reading/he'll be on the Internet (addicted to Wikipedia, don't ask!)

Do you cook together? This breaks it up a bit. What about something silly like a make your own pizza night once a week?

Or in the summer could you maybe go for a walk to the local pub for a quick drink? Winter is always long and boring!

Yep think tv is just habit forming, but if it's on he has to watch it and if it's not on he's waiting for it, have resorted in the past to hiding the controls! Actually showed him this thread in hope that he might get the hint, even tho I have told him with real words and everything! Winter in can be wick, but I'm happy even just to snuggle up and share occasional bottle of wine, but nope, it's ncis and coffee for him. Feeling very neglected. Aibu??
