In my cupboard I have

custard powder
honey
cocoa powder
brown sugar
plain flour (but no leavening)

(I also have normal food stuff eggs etc)

So I am begging you to tell me what I can do with the above that will result in a pudding fit for a desperate pregnant woman so I haven't got to send dh out on a cake run... because he's already been sent out twice this week

ReadyToPopAndFresh · 27/02/2014 18:56

Oops - posted too quickly - pancake stack layered with thick chocolate custard, chill and slice like a cake.

ReadyToPopAndFresh · 27/02/2014 18:57

oooh good idea SDTG will potentially ruin pancake day for me though...

I'll keep it in mind though

You could make rice pudding with basmati, but it might not be as thick, as the rice wouldn't break down as much.

cozietoesie · 27/02/2014 18:58

Certainly. Basmati makes an excellent rice pudding.

ReadyToPopAndFresh · 27/02/2014 18:58

However, pancakes are a lot quicker.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 27/02/2014 18:59

You could look at it as practising for Pancake Day.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 27/02/2014 18:59

You'd have to make the custard really thick.

Look! You make this as a cake chaser for your pancake cake?

What's in your fridge? Butter, eggs, milk?

ReadyToPopAndFresh · 27/02/2014 19:06

I am going to use custard powder vatta and then will add cocoa to it..

Only have clover hog [bleurgh] (dh did the shopping... we have differing views on the butter vs clover debate)
