DD1 (13) is having a sleep over (2 friends). We had KFC as a treat. DD2 and I had ours at the table. The girls had them in their room. Yes I am a slummy mummy.
When I went to get the plates and rubbish, they had left loads of the good bits, crispy skin and chicken on the bone.

OP don't worry about the snotty "you must be a fat unhealthy dirty pig" comments. I'd have done the same and my BMI is about 20. I absolutely love KFC although I only get it very rarely because of £££ and I see nothing wrong with eating other people's leftovers. IMO KFC is a lot healthier than fat-free yoghurt and breakfast bars and other garbage that's marketed as health food. If I had a compromised immune system I wouldn't do it, but fortunately mine seems pretty robust so I think it can handle some foreign spit.

YABU because it is KFC and, as a fussy eater, the idea of eating animal skin and chewing bones is gross. (I'm fine with crap like burgers when I don't know what I'm ingesting. I said I was fussy, never claimed to be rational.)

YANBU to eat irresistible left overs. I made my big brother pizza the other day and he left the crusts even though there was garlic dip.

The universe was left unbalanced so I did what I had to do. We grew up together, we probably have the same lurgees anyway.

I'm pretty sure cross contamination reduces with how familiar you are with the original chewer- so if you've wiped these kid's arses you could almost nick the food straight from their gobs with no icky feelings.

Tl;dr- On balance, one is quite reasonable.
