After eventually making the person on the phone realise that there was no power at all going to the box - which is why the light was not one, she said that an engineer would pop round in a week's time - but if it was my fault, I'd be charged £50.
The power is not one. I asked her why they can't simply send a replacement box which would arrive next week. I could then post the old one back so the engineer can look at it and mend it at their own time.
I have this feeling I'm gong to lose my recordings.
Luckily - I kept my old Freeview box so hope it stlll works.
But it just seems a waste of their time.
