To go on a date with a man i dont fancy?

I have a very specific ' type' I dont tend to fancy ( lookswise) many men. This may or may not be a contributing factor in my being single for an awfully long time.

Ive got talking to someone online, i like his personality, we have mutual friends, i do not fancy him at all from his pics. I know he has a good job/ is very financially stable.

Im thinking he might fall into the category of when someones personality makes them attractive. Im sure i fall into this category too :)

AIBU to meet him for a coffee date, knowing im not going to fancy him?

I didn't 'fancy' dh when we first went out. Not because he's unattractive lol...just not my type.

My 'type' was tall, very slim and dark. Dh is tall (tick) but very broad and fair.

Our personalities clicked though and I fancied him after a couple of weeks. I think personality has so much to do with who you fancy. There are a few not-obvious people who I have a real crush on. Alfie Moon being one, David Platt (corrie) being another. David Platt is so the opposite about what I find attractive. I do like a bad-boy-turned-good-but-still-a-bit-bad though.

DP wasn't at all my type! I'd gone for a "type" for a long time. Every one a heartbreaking failure. I met DP online dating, and even when we first met I didn't really feel sexually attracted to him. But he has such a personality, every day he makes me laugh and I can't imagine life without him. I find him sexy as hell now, even though I know he isn't conventionally sexy. I do think that if you talk to someone online for a while before meeting them, any twattish behaviour they are likely to show later will show itself sooner, so there's no need to actually meet them.
