So far my daughter has congenital diaphragmatic hernia with liver in the chest and underdeveloped lungs which nearly killed her and surgery.
Has dextrocardia ( heart on the right instead of left )
A big heart and too much fluid around it
Small left valve and a hole in heart
2 infections
Lungs collapsed twice
Loads of blood transfusions
A fractured arm and today they think she maybe deaf.
She's 7 weeks old all I want is my baby girl home.

You poor thing and your poor little girl. She must be very strong to have endured all that. Thanks

I really hope you get some positive news soon.

That's a lot.

Are you getting any support.

jonicomelately · 19/02/2014 22:47

That's such a lot for you all to cope with. Life really isn't fair sometimes is it.
Have the hospital told you how long it will be before she comes home?

What a lot for you to have to deal with and what a strong little girl you have Thanks

My niece was born with a diaphragmatic hernia but it wasn't picked up until she was 8 months old and suddenly got very ill.

I hope your little one is responding to treatment well x x

Shes done amazing ...when I was pregnant they gave her a 15 percent chance of surviving ...and she has come this far I just feel like I have failed her.
Pregnancy was horrific
Then they told me I had to make it to at least 38 weeks but made it to 35 and then had forceps etc I just feel like she doesn't deserve any of this . she is my first baby and her dads left and I just feel like our beginning hasn't got off to a good start x

You both sound brave and strong. She will know you're there and feel your love for her and you're doing as much as any mother could. Congratulations on your little DD. Thanks

Punkatheart · 20/02/2014 00:11

Failed? Not you my darling. What an amazine journey and she is here, with you. I am so sorry that her dad left too - how very bloody tough. Congrats on being an amazing human being. Your daughter too.

This too will pass.

xx

MrsKent · 20/02/2014 08:56

You have not failed her. Some things are out of your hands. You wish things were different but there's nothing else you can do than staying by her side so that she feels you are there and she is loved. Much love
