I don't think IABU but prepared to be argued with. The man has no morality and I don't think he is a force for good in this world. The news today just adds to the pile of dodginess.

The News International trial may have the potential to undo several people, but then again I expect they'll all get away with it

Yup they don't call him Teflon Tone for nothing Angry

Trouble with people like him, he can isolate himself from reality by ensconcing himself in one of their multitude of multi-million ££ mansions, and just quaff down a few extra glasses of bubbly to dull the senses.

Admittedly, anyone married to Cherie does need to do that on a regular basis ....

When the Blairs came into no.10 I really, really wanted to like Cherie. She ticks all the right boxes - career woman and mother, human rights barrister, blah blah. But she really is a nightmare. All those dodgy dealings Hmm They deserve each other.

I wish hell did exist for people like that.

ParsingFancy · 20/02/2014 15:11

"everything about the man screamed at a thousand decibels "I AM LYING" every time he spoke, and had so many tells it was lolworthy."

A retired teacher friend of mine said exactly the same. After a lifetime of hearing dog-ate-my-homework, you get a nose of it.

Nokidsnoproblem · 20/02/2014 15:18

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but has anyone mentioned D-notices yet?

whossauhnafuffafwayay · 20/02/2014 15:21

Preciousbane holy crap I tick four of those boxes - time to call my therapist for a therapy competition.

Session, I mean session.

CumberCookie · 20/02/2014 17:06

agreed. But let's remember that David Cameron was BFF with Rebekah Brooks. The're all as slimy as each other.

parkin2010 · 20/02/2014 17:19

Thank you for explaining for me.

CerealMom · 20/02/2014 17:26

Profiteer - just sums him up for me. If it isn't good for his bank balance or public image it isn't important.

I can't imagine he's ever done a sincere thing in his life after deciding to go down the political career path.

drudgetrudy · 20/02/2014 17:37

He seems to be universally disliked by people with all shades of political opinion. Always thought both he and Cherie were awful (how can a barrister be so stupid). It seems that the media want us to elect slimy toe-rags and are obsessed with outward appearance -hence their appalling treatment of Gordon Brown who seemed to me more decent.
They have odd taste in my humble opinion, both Blair and Cameron look like they would leave a snail
Blair-dishonest, self-serving warmongerer

drudgetrudy · 20/02/2014 17:37

Should say snail trail

grimbletart · 20/02/2014 17:48

I've probably done a lot of daft things in my life but I was never daft enough to vote for Blair. I can remember DH and I agreeing that the man oozed insincerity from every pore. I am at a loss to to understand how anyone could ever have trusted him when his insincerity was so transparent.

SauceForTheGander · 20/02/2014 18:28

Nokid did he put the D notice on details of the Dunblane enquiry ?

Sammysilver · 20/02/2014 18:29

Wow... I'm no fan of Blair but I think these responses are just a little OTT!

SauceForTheGander · 20/02/2014 18:30

Yes cumber Brooks manages to be BFF with a number of key players.

SauceForTheGander · 20/02/2014 18:37

The terrible impact of the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq The children of Iraq

YouStayClassySanDiego · 20/02/2014 19:28

Sammysilver really?

I think the responses say much about how reviled Blair is.

SirChenjin · 20/02/2014 19:59

OTT? Given Blair's behaviour over the last 20-odd years I would say he's got off lightly on this thead.

Yes2014 · 20/02/2014 20:03

Yes, ritual denunciation on mumsnet is no punishment for what Blair has done!

OP posts:
Babyroobs · 20/02/2014 20:08

YANBU, I can't stand the man.

Onesleeptillwembley · 20/02/2014 20:48

I can't think of anything bad enough for Blair. Like a poster upthread I wish I believed in hell. The thought of him rotting there for eternity would be a bit of comfort.

x2boys · 20/02/2014 20:50

I don't think he was a narcissist I think he is a fucking psychopath!!!!

SauceForTheGander · 20/02/2014 21:01

Interestingly a clinical psychologist I had huge respect for said the same thing 2boys !

SauceForTheGander · 20/02/2014 21:05

The small crumb of satisfaction I have is that he's considered toxic in the UK - so there's no campaigning with the Labour Party or turning up like a bad penny every time they needed help with an election.

Though I know he's loved by USA and has bags of gold to ease the pain. But his loss of status here is pleasing.

x2boys · 20/02/2014 21:29

its his whole demeanour charming, ingratiating .charismatic can be typical of pyschopaths sauce!
