After I did a tesco order today and asked everyone what they'd like on the order, and planned the menu for the week and ordered it....

DS asked me tonight, shall I make shepherd's pie tomorrow night?

I said, with what?

He said, oh, could you add it to the order?

Gah!! I have actually planned meals for this week.

Aibu to think this is insane and not v helpful?.

For shopping at Tesco.

CocktailQueen · 17/02/2014 22:55

Lol miren! Where would you prefer I shop??

I would tell him that's fine but the order has gone so he will have to organise shopping for ingredients himself, then move everything else back a day. Know what you mean though, it can make you feel a bit taken for granted when you try to consider everyone's requests and he can't even be bothered to listen.

WorraLiberty · 17/02/2014 23:06

Oh ffs Miren really?

whois · 17/02/2014 23:09

Not really seeing this as a big problem. Either the orders done and there's nothing to make shepherds pie with, or it's not gone and you can add the stuff and let him cook.

gamerchick - I love your post; you've kind of 'Lunaed' the thread.

(that is with reference to her of Lovegood fame... and hopefully you will have a clue what I'm talking about)

OP - I kind of know what you mean. Mundane exasperation; need to have lived with it for a while to be eventually broken by it. However I can see everyone else's point too. In the grand scheme it's not that bad.

ShitOnAStick · 17/02/2014 23:37

YABU. I see absolutely nothing wrong with what your DH said, you can amend the orders up until midnight the day before.
I've got an order coming tomorrow that I've amended twice since doing it because DH suggested things and I remembered stuff. Yes I had meal planned but that doesn't mean I can't change the plan and amend the order.

If my dh said I'll make.....something..anything I'd run to the shop for the ingredients

Coumarin · 18/02/2014 00:23

What I'm getting from this is that he must be completely perfect if this riles you.

I fancy Shepherds pie now.
