Newt - best way to remember the difference is to think of Advice and Advise - same rules apply but they sound different so much easier to work out which is noun (practice, advice) and which is verb (practise, advise - oh and license as well while we're at it - the noun is licence.) :)

NewtRipley Some people find it useful to think about advice/advise when trying to decide which practise/practice to use. The former pair have a difference in pronunciation, whilst the latter don't (which is why people get confused between them).

Practice is a noun, practise is a verb.
