Regular under namechange as I am hoping to use this thread as a weapon. Wink

If you are saying that you find someone attractive, despite the fact that they have a face like a busted bag of spanners, do you say "I see past your looks" or "I see passed your looks"?

I will tell you which one I think is right when you tell me what you all think. Wink Flowers

You are right FOC.

Who the fuck is which? Does she not know this is Mumsnet and we are allowed "vulger" usernames.

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 14:59

Hmmm.

It appears that whichwouldyouchoose is Facebook stalking me, too.

I am having my first, real, loony Mumsnet experience. I'm not sure whether to feel flattered or afraid.

How strange.

Why?

MeepMeepVrooooom · 13/02/2014 15:07

How on earth would they know who you are in RL?

Creepy.

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 15:09

Beats me. I tend to look at the Twitter profiles of celebs/people more interesting than me, so maybe it is the same kind of thing for whichwouldyouchoose?

Madmammy83 · 13/02/2014 15:10

I have read two threads today. The first one was about some weirdo parked outside someone's house every day for 11 days. And this one. It's a weird sort of a day....

Golferman · 13/02/2014 15:12

Nah, as a man I'm not shagging some ugly bint Grin

Confused

Curiouser and couriouser

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 15:53

And I'm sure they're queuing up for you, Golferman. Wink

Let's ask outright, which, what is your problem with Chunk? She asked a fair enough question, and was proved right, it's past not passed. Stalking is not cool.

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 16:18

Too many name-changing spanners on here at the minute, too wussy to say what they think under their own name. Isn't that right, whichdidyouchoose? :)

OP posts:
DustyBaubles · 13/02/2014 16:19

Oh yes! And if we are asking things outright, who does the blog linked to by the weird stalker belong to?

The stalker? Or Chunk? Or is it a cryptic code?

I don't do twitter or Facebook, so if I'm missing half the story, could someone fill me in? Between this, and the thread about the woman sitting in the car for 10 days, I feel the need for closure. Grin

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 16:24

It didn't belong to me! I could write better than that when I was in primary school. Wink

I reckon she is stalking me on FB as she has made badly veiled references to two things on there posted by moi.

I'll not close my profile though. I'd hate to deprive such a lonely loser of the feeling of being included in anything.

Past!

ISeeYouShiverWithAntici · 13/02/2014 16:26

Is this one of those times when Smile actually means this

by any chance?

I too would love to know exactly what is going on here. Cos I'm very nosy.

FuckOffChunk · 13/02/2014 18:52

How did you guess, Antici? I thought I was being so subtle... Wink

OP posts:
MintyChops · 13/02/2014 19:00

Confused by stalker stuff, but it's definitely past.

Littlegreyauditor · 13/02/2014 19:54

My goodness this thread got weird quickly (marking place for the mad stalker meltdown). It is "past" though.

BearsInMotion · 13/02/2014 20:05
Confused

I thought briefly it was passed, but I am persuaded :)

NewtRipley · 13/02/2014 20:08

past is a preposition

MN is weird

candycoatedwaterdrops · 13/02/2014 20:09

I am confused. This has all flown past me. Wink

katese11 · 13/02/2014 20:21

What a weird direction this thread has taken!

I'm a linguistics grad and I still get learnt and learned confused Grin

CrohnicallyFarting · 13/02/2014 20:57

I thought learnt and learned were pretty much interchangeable- one is American English and one is English English.

Love a bit of surreal.

Nice giraffe, but I'm still at a loss.
