to have switched the TV back on?

After H had switched it off and gone to bed I turned the TV on to watch the news as I didn't want to be sat in silence, he comes down asking what has happened as he heard the TV on.

Shocking to think I may want to watch the TV when I want to and not go to bed when he does?

He didn't ask if I wanted the TV on, he just switched it off and went upstairs.

So AIBU?

Of course you're not!!

Is he behaving as though you are?? Confused

What an odd thing to have happen. Of course you're not unreasonable. I hope you weren't actually watching it when he turned it off.

Aaaah - men and their remote controls!

I'm actually wondering why you didn't say 'oi I was watching that' or something to that effect before he left the room.

He proclaimed there was nothing on the TV so put Shawshank Redemption on, then turned that off. I wasn't watching it, but it would have been nice to have been asked if I wanted it on

He looked worried that the news was on- thinking something bad must have happened, rather than me just watching TV. Hmm
