To leave the toilet for DH to clean up?

HellsGranny · 07/02/2014 18:53

Had a crappy day today, had to have my cat put to sleep this morning then go to work.

Just got in, DH is in bed with flu, went to the loo & it is spattered with shit, I mean totally. AIBU to let him clean it up tomorrow? It's not the only loo we have, I can avoid it for now.

Drag him out of bed to clean it

Wherediparkmybroom · 07/02/2014 18:57

Leave it, he can do it later.

AdoraBell · 07/02/2014 18:57

If he didn't have flu I would say YANBU. But flu does make people very ill so this time I would cean it. Does he habitually leave it for you to do?

Sorry about your cat.

paxtecum · 07/02/2014 18:58

Does he usually clean the toilet?

Ledkr · 07/02/2014 18:59

My 12 yr old has had horrendous flu this week but my toilets are ok! Lazy IMO

SpagBolgs · 07/02/2014 19:02

Let him clean it up you are not BU.

PatrickStarisabadbellend · 07/02/2014 19:03

My do does that on a daily basis and leaves it for me to clean up. I hate it.

RunRunRuby · 07/02/2014 19:03

YANBU if you don't need to use it then leave it for him to clean when he is better, sounds like he will just dirty it again anyway!

PatrickStarisabadbellend · 07/02/2014 19:03

Dp not do.

Only1scoop · 07/02/2014 19:06

Sorry about cat....
I would leave it until he's feeling better....has he just left it like that because he is ill? He doesn't normally?

HellsGranny · 07/02/2014 19:08

He's left skid marks before, I've nagged about it before. I accept he's ill but even so I'm really not in the mood to be cleaning up his shit tonight.

I wonder how these blokes managed pre wife?

Oldraver · 07/02/2014 19:14

Unless he is at deaths door there is no excuse for him not cleaning up his shit.

HumphreyCobbler · 07/02/2014 19:19

If he has proper flu he will be too ill to even stand up properly. If he has a less serious virus he should clean up after himself

ChoudeBruxelles · 07/02/2014 19:21

If he has proper flu he can probably just about drag himself to the toilet when he actually needs it. Just squirt some bleach down the loo

blueish · 07/02/2014 19:21

Sorry about your cat.

Quirt a load of bleach round the loo.

Divinity · 07/02/2014 19:28

As Choude said. If he does have flu he will be very weak, can hardly stand and will be sleeping all the time. In which case squirt a bit if bleach in to help.

Sorry about your puddy. Very sad day for you Sad

HumphreyCobbler · 07/02/2014 19:32

oh yes, forgot to say sorry about losing your cat. How sad.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 07/02/2014 19:32

I couldn't leave it to be honest, even if everyone else could go elsewhere.
If he's ill it's not as though he could help it, or feel up to cleaning after himself.

Any other time would be a different matter though.

JamNan · 07/02/2014 19:37

Leave him some Post it notes.

Oi you fuckin' dirty bastard!
Clean up YOUR SHIT!
BLEACH your ARSE
AND FUCKING WASH your germ-ridden hands after!!!!

Says JamNan who had to clean up a slightly pebble-dashed loo this morning cos CHEIF MYOPIC SHITTER can't see it!

Take photos - as evidence. Gawd would we LADIES leave sannies all over the bathroom floor because we are too 'ill' to dispose of them?

And HellsGranny I am really so sorry about your cat. You have had a horrid day.

StanHouseMuir · 07/02/2014 19:43

If my wife had flu and left it like that then I would sort it out.

Annunziata · 07/02/2014 19:46

He's ill, poor man. Just clean it.

Phalenopsis · 07/02/2014 19:46

If I'm ill, my OH clears up after me. If he's ill, I clear up after him.

If your OH really has flu and hasn't got man flu, then clean up after him.

Misspixietrix · 07/02/2014 19:46

Sorry about your Cat OP Flowers.

whois · 07/02/2014 19:47

If he actually has flu, then I would clean it. Actual flu is appaling.

If he has a bad cold then he can clean it. Especially if he is in the habit of leaving things dirty.

If it is just a bad cold with 'flu like symptoms' then I have zero sympathy for either of you, and I wish a huge dose of actual flu on anyone who uses the word in vein.
