Kids love it, so I'm subjected to it.

but I just can't stand it.

I still have morning sickness so all the talk and sight of food - bleugh.
plus all the "waste" of food dropping to the floor, it just annoys me so much.

stupid stupid film

Am I alone and AIBU?

YABU. We love it here. Its animation.

DD loves Cloudy With a chance of meatballs 2. The strawberry is so cute!

KellyElly · 06/02/2014 14:17

It's not great. It's one of those films I have 20 winks on the sofa while DD watches it ;)

KellyElly · 06/02/2014 14:17
Wink

Hey zing! I was about to say yabu, but guess you have specific reasons not to like it at the moment! No respite yet from the sickness?

I remember seeing the trailer and being revolted by it, my dc loved the film so I watched it, several times, and now I do like it.

ZingSweetApple · 06/02/2014 14:19

I have to admit "I'm ok, it's just pain"is a great line, but that's it.

There's no way I'm getting them the sequel.

rummi

it comes and goes.

It makes me want to never eat, buy, make food.
I guess it will be handy once baby's born and I want to go on a diet! Grin

I'm glad it is not just me. I hated seeing all that food, it really made me feel queasy and I don't have morning sickness.

It is a really strange idea for a film. Saying that I would love to be let loose in Willy Wonka's chocolate room!

ZingSweetApple · 06/02/2014 14:24

silver

thank you! I knew it can't be just me!Wink

Yes, Mother Nature really should give you the morning sickness post birth!

I remember being pregnant and my husband was cooking me my favourite dinner, I walk into the house and waves of nausea hit me and he has to throw it all out!

akachan · 06/02/2014 14:28

Yabu! I love it and the sequel

SomethingkindaOod · 06/02/2014 14:47

It's an ok film, not one of the best animated ones around though. However I too watched it while pregnant and spent my entire time in the cinema with my stomach flipping over. YANBU on that one at all! I already felt like food was picking on me during my last pregnancy without seeing it fall OM the sky!!

SomethingkindaOod · 06/02/2014 14:47

From the Sky. There was no OM involved! Confused

DCexpat · 06/02/2014 14:48

I've never seen the movie, but I LOVED the book when I was a kid.

MrsCakesPremonition · 06/02/2014 14:49

The sequel is so much better than the original.

YANBU. I wasn't pregnant when I saw it but all the food still made me feel nauseous. Other than that I didn't think it was too bad...

livelablove · 06/02/2014 15:15

I thought it had some good moments, loved the ratbirds, but my favourite kids film is The Pirates in an adventure with scientists.
