Boiler engineer was fixing my boiler today(emergency repair). Heard him go into showeroom opposite where boiler was and shut the door. He was in there for absolutely ages! When he left, i saw that he had used a whole load of toilet cleaner so he had obviously poo ed in there.

I am so upset because he did not ask me if he could use it. I had a whole load of my daughters' freshly laundered clothes and their personal towels drying on the heated towel rail in there. If he had asked me to use the loo, obviously I would have said yes (i always do when asked) but this would have given me the chance to quickly clear their stuff away and to give him a clean guest towel. As it was, there was no guest towel in there, only their stuff. And it is a tiny room and he would definitely have brushed against their things just getting to the loo. And what didhe dry/ wipe his (pooey) hands on?Aaagh!

Also later i heard clicking camera noises and when i went to see what was going on, the boiler guy was indeed taking photos in my boiler cupboard. I should have asked him what he was doing...... But I didnt and now i'm worrying since after he left i saw that there was an plastic bag of old bank statements/ receipts/ papers in there that DH at some stage must have shoved in there.

Just feel horrible. Am i being silly? Should i just bite my lip or say something to his office(he works for a small local company a couple of minutes away). Will definitely not have him back.

Sorry to put a downer on things here everyone but the op obviously has anxiety about this, yes she's on AIBU but comments like "you're nuts" and "you're crazy" are a bit nasty.
I've had OCD and anxiety before & bloody hell, when I was at my worst this would've sent me into a bicarb of soda frenzy, I would've been rubbing pure ethanol on everything whilst donning a haz mat suit and sobbing into bloo's loo's.

Op, as you've seen from pp's & for the purpose of the thread YABU, just have a good clean & let it go. And maybe try work on coping techniques for your worries, you seem a bit stressed. The taking photos is a bit weird IMO.

I don't think the photo thing is weird at all - we have had engineers take photos of out gas meter and emailing it to someone at HQ - it's probably quite useful, proves he's been there, records make of boiler etc

Also he cleaned up after himself. Good for him.

Fly to Mexico and change your name! You've been discovered!

We will meet again in the Bar Andre. I will be on legs and you will tell me the geese fly low over Moscow. We will have many adventures.

VROOOOOM!!!

OP, you are bonkers. I mean this in the nicest possible way. Lighten up. Probably everything you touch in every shop and bus and train and wherever has been touched by someone who didn't wash their hands after going to the lavatory. You're still alive. Get a grip.

DH is a heating engineer and whenever he gets a phone from his company there are always exciting photos of boilers/pipework from someones house on the phones. Never have I seen any of paperwork or bank statements. (DH doesn't take photos because he can only use a phone for phoning)
