To be upset because he did a poo in my loo? And took photos.

Boiler engineer was fixing my boiler today(emergency repair). Heard him go into showeroom opposite where boiler was and shut the door. He was in there for absolutely ages! When he left, i saw that he had used a whole load of toilet cleaner so he had obviously poo ed in there.

I am so upset because he did not ask me if he could use it. I had a whole load of my daughters' freshly laundered clothes and their personal towels drying on the heated towel rail in there. If he had asked me to use the loo, obviously I would have said yes (i always do when asked) but this would have given me the chance to quickly clear their stuff away and to give him a clean guest towel. As it was, there was no guest towel in there, only their stuff. And it is a tiny room and he would definitely have brushed against their things just getting to the loo. And what didhe dry/ wipe his (pooey) hands on?Aaagh!

Also later i heard clicking camera noises and when i went to see what was going on, the boiler guy was indeed taking photos in my boiler cupboard. I should have asked him what he was doing...... But I didnt and now i'm worrying since after he left i saw that there was an plastic bag of old bank statements/ receipts/ papers in there that DH at some stage must have shoved in there.

Just feel horrible. Am i being silly? Should i just bite my lip or say something to his office(he works for a small local company a couple of minutes away). Will definitely not have him back.

Hyacinth is that you?

FuckingWankwings · 05/02/2014 18:54

he would definitely have brushed against their things

The horror, the horror.

softlysoftly · 05/02/2014 18:55

Please complain they could probably do with a laugh!

He cleaned the loo you should be happy he didn't leave big skidders.

and our last boiler bloke took pictures, they have to to prove they completed the work.

TrampledUnderfoot · 05/02/2014 18:56

I bet he's the MN poo troll.

He will start a thread on here later with photos of your bog.

alemci · 05/02/2014 18:57

get a grip op. aren't there worse things that could happen? I though he had taken some turd photos too

bodygoingsouth · 05/02/2014 18:57

please read the 'Ragamuffins' thread too mumsnetters.

I am off to have wine in a school night as clearly others must have too.

op you are a picnic short of a sandwich or visa versa or indeed both.

Picturesinthefirelight · 05/02/2014 18:58

Guest loo? Guest towels? I obviously mix in different circles to you.

Utterly ridiculous. At least he cleaned the loo

And I work for a gas/plumbing company. Our engineers take photos of stuff all the time.

Famzilla · 05/02/2014 18:58

Oh I do hope you rewashed the clothes and gave the loo a good bleaching afterwards.

Dirty workmen brushing their own clothes up against your precious children's. Don't they know they're a lesser species?

FuckingWankwings · 05/02/2014 18:59

Grin at 'tradesman poo'

CatAmongThePigeons · 05/02/2014 18:59

So he used the loo, cleaned it and then took photos of his work? Bonkers, eh.

Tell your H to use a filing cabinet like the rest of us, it'll help ease the paranoia.

peevishcleavage · 05/02/2014 19:00

I too thought this was about a sick poo-photographer and am very disappointed that the worst thing he did was (possibly) brush against towels on his way to the loo. You lured us in OP!

bodygoingsouth · 05/02/2014 19:00

finally install an outside bog for tradesmen use only.

poo crumbs from working class arses blow away in the wind if one opens the door wide.

Xmasbaby11 · 05/02/2014 19:00

YABU! Made me laugh though!

RuinedEverything · 05/02/2014 19:00

These sort of threads are why I love mumsnet - reminds me of how sane I actually am!

SweetiePie0 · 05/02/2014 19:01

My husband owns a plumbing company and his engineers will often take photos for college portfolio purposes, and also to refer to pipe runs etc... nothing weird there.

As for pooing in your loo - get a grip.

Caitlin17 · 05/02/2014 19:02

Oh dear me. This made me smile. YABVVVU.

Lifeisaboxofchocs · 05/02/2014 19:02

i hate thread titles like this. I never read the posts themselves. But i hate seeing them in 'Most Active'.

puerile and disgusting.

Yep, bit of a prude me I guess

cate16 · 05/02/2014 19:04

My DH also takes photo's to prove no damage was done - surprising just how many people try to claim for damage done by tradesmen.

AryaOfHouseSnark · 05/02/2014 19:06

I also clicked on this expecting him to have taken photos of his poo Grin
I am sorely disappointed.

Confitdecanard · 05/02/2014 19:07

I think you should be really grateful that he was thoughtful enough to use the toilet cleaner. I say this as someone who has just spent six weeks with various tradesmen in the house. None of them asked to use the loo, ever. They definitely did though. Tbh I would have been pretty shocked if they had asked as it would have meant a trip downstairs to find me instead of just popping in the bathroom upstairs, near where they were working.

BabyDubsEverywhere · 05/02/2014 19:07

He would have been taking a pic of the codes on the boiler - its quicker than writing them all down.

and, erm, he used the loo...

My god this has got to be the weirdest poo troll ever!!!

ExcuseTypos · 05/02/2014 19:08

This reminds me of Catherine Tate when she does her Orgainic, Middle Class, Mother sketches.

Quoteunquote · 05/02/2014 19:09

Boiler trades always take photos, partly for parts identification, and partly to record work.

Don't worry.

Passthesaltdear · 05/02/2014 19:15

I haven't laughed so much in such a long time, tears rolling down my face!! Thank you OP, even if it's a joke, thankyouSmile
