AIBU to think that if you pay for a year up front it should be cheaper?

12 month fixed contract is £60
Annual price is £765

What is the incentive to pay up front?

NB there is a discount that can only be applied to the annual price, not pay monthly. The discount is 20% however the extra price for annual means the discount is effectively 15%. Or, if you can't afford annual up front, the discount is NADA.

So...if you pay for the year it would be £612? And paying monthly the total would be £720?

Seems like a pretty decent discount to me.

Not sure why the starting price for the annual is more than the monthly cost though.

Are you looking at a council run gym scheme by any chance?

DH and I are about to sign up to one. We will pay monthly as it's cheaper than the annual fee.

Discounts are on all amounts for us though.

MaxPepsi YES I am. Ha!

DH tells me that although the form says you don't get corporate discount on the 12 month scheme, the woman at the kiosk said that you do.

It's so odd isn't it, I was adding up the figures and thinking 'why would you make the annual one more expensive' but I think it's to shaft you on the discount.
