Well am I?

Someone said it was odd.

EBearHug - who has time to colour co-ordinate the laundry-hanging?!

And, and my mum told me you must hang in size order (admittedly this doesn't work with a whirly) on a traditional washing green.

So you start with big items then work down to the smaller ones.

And socks must be hung by the toes obviously.

salmotrutta I just love a laundry thread - especially with a pegging out theme.

Love the word gusset - not used enough in my opinion.

Grundies and knickers pegged out by side and socks by the toe.
Use best pegs for best clothes
Peg out in colour order - obviously!

Can't wait for pegging out weather Smile

I do have a life - honestly

I'm intrigued as to what "grundies" are?

Is it a typo and meant to be "undies"

Or an amalgamation of Grungy Undies?

Grundies are undies. No idea if it's an amalgamation but it's a slang word from round these parts. Like kecks.

We are so sophisticated not really we are dead common Grin

I like it.

I may even use it.

Hang by the side, one peg only of course.
I never used to hang my knickers outside as don't like the idea of other people seeing them, but do hang out everything else including all the boxer shorts ( all other occupants in our house are of the male variety). A friend pointed out that if anyone were to be taking an unlikely unhealthy interest in the contents of my washing line the obvious conclusion would be that I just don't wear any at all Blush
I let it all hang out now Grin

Grin YABU!

Hang them from the side seam, sideways, takes up same amount of room as weirdo gusset-hanging.

Grokette · 02/02/2014 23:26

I peg from the hip too.

The word gusset just reminds me of Gene Hunt

"Does that moisten your gusset, love?"

Oh, the luxury of having so many bras that five can be in the wash at the same timeShock!
YY to hanging socks by the toe, I hang socks in pairs, in descending length order, so when the line is propped they hang straight.
