To ask if you think that Knox is guilty?

I have no idea but it seems that her kissing her boyfriend at the time was seen as suspicious whereas I don't think that this is suspicious at all. DNA is...kissing one's lover.no. It's not even that inappropriate to kiss ones lover in the face of tragedy.
Didn't she do cartwheels though?

Stickysausages, have you read \link{http://groundreport.com/meredith-kercher-crime-scene-instigation/\this blog} with all the timings & comings & goings at the cottage on day 1?

Yes, it's pro AK, but it has masses of relevant detail (& covers the timing of the phone calls)

(There's a lot of stuff about Mignini & politics first)

stickysausages · 04/02/2014 11:00

My suspicions come from this version of events... the transcripts, the fact RS hangs up then calls back (after discussing things with AK???) & allegations the calls were made after the postal police had attended,

absoluteidiot · 04/02/2014 11:04

Why the staged break in? Only someone who had a key would need to fake that..?

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 04/02/2014 11:07

Scroll down to 12.51/12.54 on the link I just gave you & read the timings there.

(If you only read the guilters' site of course you'll believe she's guilty!)

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 04/02/2014 11:10

It wasn't staged - RG broke in

it's part of his previous MO, climbing through broken 2nd floor windows - there was also something about the way he arranged the broken glass on the sill

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 04/02/2014 11:16

so many people seem to prefer to believe that 'she knows more than she's letting on', 'there was more than one killer', anything to make it somehow more glamorous? than the likely truth - that RG broke in (as nicestsmile says, not for the first time) and that Meredith was killed by him. DNA has solved many, many crimes and seen killers convicted and his was found in that room.

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:17

NicestSmile - read the transcripts. RG didn't break in, he went in through the front door. The nail sticking out of the wall / the position of the shutters etc - nobody climbed through that window.

Inspired by this thread, I've read the court transcripts & now believe that they may not be guilty of murder, but as accessories / for perverting the course of justice (or whatever the Italian equivalent is). The one puzzle that points to murder is the knife from RS's kitchen (where MK had never been) which had MK's DNA on it (& is not one of the items that there are cross contamination / procedural queries over). Why did that knife leave his kitchen and visit somewhere MK had been if not with the intention of causing harm? (not nec to her / not nec to murder, I admit).
Also curious after reading that blog Stickysausages refers to, which paints AK / RS as hardened class A drug users rather than student dope smokers - tho' I haven't seen any toxicology reports on them and any coke use however casual would be well recorded in their hair.

So striking that they barely knew each other, let alone AK / Meredith - all the articles talking about what their habits were as a couple etc - they'd only known each other a matter of a couple of weeks.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 04/02/2014 11:20

whether he broke in or was let in, i don't believe he was wanted in that apartment.

PortofinoRevisited · 04/02/2014 11:22

7 days I think it was.

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 04/02/2014 11:23

Easter, who says he went in through the front door? (I know he says it, he said Meredith let him in for an assignation - I don't think we believe that, do we? Who else says it?)

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:23

Unless he was supplying drugs to the kids downstairs and AK / RS? I wonder whether the timing immediately after halloween and the big halloween party (which AK didn't go to / wasn't invited to) has anything to do with it - were they trying to scare her in some prank that got hideously out of control? rampant speculation I know (as are the blogs). The transcripts however make fascinating reading. AK lies and manipulates with great ease and fluency.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 04/02/2014 11:25

given that AK had not been in trouble to this extent before, I would imagine she was scared and this is where confusion and lies came from. she wouldn't be the first.

SpaceIsBig · 04/02/2014 11:28

I think this was linked to up thread, or on the other one

here

From the BBC science pages - Gives an interesting view on the knife and how DNA can be transferred

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:28

Smile - The translation of the transcript of the Massei Report (sentencing report), based on Filomena Romanelli's testimony and the lack of external physical evidence at the window / house (height of window / shutters / nail on wall / wet conditions etc etc), on which facts the court made its decision.

Timetoask · 04/02/2014 11:39

AK italian was basic, how could the italian police be so incompetent and not get her proper help when getting her statements. I think this girl is innocent and her life will be completely destroyed because of the terrible work the italian police did. She should have at least been informed that it is in her best interest to have a lawer there. She is a young 19 year old, how is she to know how these things work?

stickysausages · 04/02/2014 11:41

RG had been in the apartment before, including one night after being out drinking, when he fell asleep on the toilet!?

Gross question... but why did he use the toilet that night & not flush!?

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 04/02/2014 11:41

Easter, the police's MO seems to be to make the evidence fit their theories.

I'm not convinced

TheOneWithTheNicestSmile · 04/02/2014 11:42

That was the apartment downstairs, stickysausages

But he does seem to like to leave his mark in people's toilets.

BumPotato · 04/02/2014 11:45

He used the toilet because nature called and didn't flush because the noise would have alerted MK to his presence in the villa.

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:47

why didn't amanda knox flush it when she found the terd in the loo?

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:48

(Timetoask - she had a translator with her at all times when she was interviewed as a witness. As soon as she became a suspect - when she said she was in the property at the time - she had a lawyer)

BumPotato · 04/02/2014 11:52

Why should she flush the loo?

EasterHoliday · 04/02/2014 11:54

you wouldn't flush if you walked into your bathroom and found a stray floater in there?
I frequently do either in the office or the kids' bathrooms. Would never occur to me to leave one hanging. It might get out and walk if you left it too long.

BumPotato · 04/02/2014 11:57

It wasn't her bathroom, it was the other two tenants' bathroom.

undecidedanduncertain · 04/02/2014 12:00

Perhaps the lid of the loo was closed, and she didn't use the toilet herself (she went in to shower, didn't she?) so she didn't notice the floater, EasterHoliday.
