I loathe the school run. I have to do a lunchtime one as well at the moment as have DTs in morning nursery.

School run + rain = actual torture. DTs have a 90% chance of falling over in mud/puddles and all 3 always come out with coats undone and water bottles and pieces of fruit and 'artwork'. I am expected to carry this with my ?octopus arms.

AIBU to just want them teleported back into my lovely, warm living room where I can have a nice drink and snack waiting for them?

YANBU but only if I can teleport myself to and from work and cut out the bloody awful commute Grin

Yeah I've had the same thought on more than one occasion.

Oh that's a fab idea.

One thing I always had a carrier bag in my pocket - they come out with so much junk at that age.

Oh, that would be lovely. It takes an hour to get ds to school on a packed bus with no seats (he has bad legs so can't stand for too long) some days, it's supposed to be a 26 minute journey. I come home, then collect him again later. We travel home on another packed bus (but we catch it from the bus station rather then the stop so we know we'll get a seat), this usually takes 45 minutes. It would be lovely to push a button and just arrive.

Sad

I share your pain. Am steeling myself for today's pick up. In the rain with ds and his friend who can be very excitable ahem. Walk in opposite direction from home to pick up dd from her dance class, trudge back blah blah. And I only have to do this one day a week as I work out of the home as well.

YANBU, I want to do the same. Especially today. I'm cold, uncomfortable, heavily pregnant and it is pouring down. DS1 is always the last out so I will be standing in the rain waiting and shivering. Also hate the armfuls of junk (mixed with useful things) they come out holding. Put it in your bags!!!!

I certainly wish i had a teleport today! It pouring with rain and I don't suppose it will stop in the next ten minutes. And I know DS2 will take ages to come out of class.

You could always move to Norway. I dropped DS at the school bus stop for the first eight months or so (until it started to get light basically), but was shocked that after the first week, I was literally the only parent there. They don't start till they are six, but still it's like a different world.
