Now I know what you are going to say..... unfriend, step away, remember there is life beyond the laptop but I am so shocked I had to post here to stop my knee jerk reply being a bit...er... frosty.

My 'delightful' cousin has just posted this:

I will unfriend her. She posts multiple links to dailyfail stories and I kept meaning to but never did. This has floored me though.

It will cause no family grief if I reply to her so should I? And what should I say?

I've had to do this a couple of times on my new found cousin's page. He is a little ignorant to say the least and if it's not boobs/fanjo's in spangly pants it's 'defend our country against the invasion from overseas workers!' etc etc.My fave was one about women in burkha's having a school picture taken (hilaire clearly) until I pointed out women in families strict enough to be made to wear burkha's more than likely wouldn't be allowed any education, so the scenario would likely never arise. Killjoy, me? Usually I comment and add a topical link from Indie or something very neutral on the subject. He must love me I do think it has stopped him just posting without engaging brain...a little.

I always wonder if these people would say such things in public? It never ceases to amaze me how they think it's ok to make comments like this on fb.

I'm a dammed sight better looking now compared to how I was when I was young. I was a freckled faced, bacon rasher. Now I get compliments and my youngest daughter is stunning, she started out with an oblong head, ginger hair and not Bonny at all, now, wow! I think our lot improve with age.....bit like a good bottle of wine.

When you click 'I don't want to.see this post' it asks why, you click on it again and there are choice to choose from, one of them is something about it being hateful (i think). I assume that reports it.

I unfriended someone this week, his status' always seem to be so angry, with the occasional boring football shite thrown in but his declaration of "all them fucking foreigners should piss of back where they came from" was the nail in the coffin.
I don't miss his bile at all and wish I'd done it sooner.

I've just reported it and unfriended her.

Feel better for it really.

I had a block-fest this week.

I got rid if anyone who posts pics/statuses involving dead or dying animals, children with birth defects ('one like = one prayer' my arse), never ending minor illnesses, made up health scare crap and racism.

It's back to all babies, sunsets and kittens. Lovely.

Oo, it did feel good though! haven't been back since!

I have reported and blocked a few racists on facebook.

My newsfeed is all kittens, cakes and tattoos.

Urgh she sounds awful. Well done for unfriending. I do this now too whenever someone writes something offensive on Fb, no matter who they are. Hopefully something will come of you reporting her.
