Stealing an image off my website business, altering it to remove the copyright mark and using it on their online website.

Well obviously IABU as its the Daily Mail but just really wanting to give us all another reason to despise them.

Are you able to do anything about it?

The DM is well known for being highly casual about intellectual property. Go for them! Can you claim a payment? After all, they've had the use of your image for however long it remains up there. Have they put it into the dead tree version?

They are bastards for doing this - asshats. Send them an invoice as well.

Quick update the Daily Mail have removed my image from their online website.

It 'only' took two polite request followed by a DMCA to their hosting company and not a single response from them at all - rude sods.

treas You should have just got loads of people to post on the comments that they thought they had seen this image on xxxxx and got free publicity out of them!

I thought you were going to say they had behaved with integrity, that would have been a surprise.
