YANBU.

The sales assistant should also ask a customer to move away from the till once their purchase has been made.

It just comes across as desperate. Is it to save time if they win something? It didn't hold me up too long but just thought it was bizarre.

I agree, it looks desperate. Quite sad really Sad

My pet hate is people just stopping in front of me if I ruled the world it would be a hanging offence.

popcornpaws · 27/01/2014 13:42

Oh my god, I see this at work daily. They leave the silver scratch bits all over the counter too!
The amount some people spend on them is scary, I often feel like saying "don't buy any more" but I'm not allowed to obviously.
But yes the furious scratching of them at the counter when others are waiting to be served does my head in!

Sparklingbrook · 27/01/2014 13:45

I don't like scratchcards as a concept but if I did buy one I could at least put in in my bag til I got home.

God this drives me mental. Please step away from the til.

My local Sainsbury's stopped people taking their shopping to the cigarette and scratchcard counter unless they were also buying those things.

There were too many arguments involving desperate addicts with the poor assistants having to referee Shock

RandyRudolf · 27/01/2014 13:52

As getting in the way of others goes, another pet hate of mine are people who once they have stepped off a moving escalator just bloody stand their pondering which direction they want to go.

RandyRudolf · 27/01/2014 13:52

*there (bloody spelling)
