Am I unreasonable to think that the general masses are really a bit stupid to believe everything they see and read on the internet? The current shocking photographs are riddled with inaccuracies and people are so quick to judge they don't bother to arm themselves with the facts.

A few people have managed to put into words what I thought once I delved beyond the pictures of all that blood...

So is it reasonable to judge only once you have the facts or should people be hysterically wailing on the sight of lots of blood thats "it's an outcry!" and sorting out the details later? It seems so many have opted for the later....

I agree. Unless those folks getting hysterical are vegan they are total hypocrites.

I have an issue with killing them in that manner anyway (and the pictures don't lie) regardless of why, how or where. So it doesn't matter to me that the article is incorrect, as there is nothing that could make me think killing them in that manner is right.

This is a good explanation. Not nice but the meat is eaten and, since I don't have as much of in issue with indigenous hunting as industrial hunting, YANBU.

Cetaceans are very hard to kill. AFAIK the method used is the quickest and most humane.
