What's best in this situation? I'm just praising him a lot and saying how I don't/DP doesn't and he sees us use the loo a lot etc. He also has a reward chart going.

He's very bright, healthy and big for his age so I think it's just an emotional thing.

Am I doing the right thing?

We've just toilet trained ds, he's 3.5. He loved his pull ups and would get very upset if we suggested pants.

In the end I just had to say there were no pull ups. I put him in pants and trousers for nursery and he was fine. No accidents.

He could do it, he just didn't want to. Now, 5 days later it's like he's been using the toilet for months. He could do it.

And yes, lots of praise for pees and poos.

Mine was like this. I knew he was able as well. I said no nappies during the day in the end. He got the hang of it too. Can see why a nappy is just more convenient, if you are busy Grin.

I've done an online shop for tomorrow then he has nursery most of next week so he'll be encouraged plenty by the lovely staff there.

I know he can sit down and easily produce a decent amount of wee on demand. I think he just likes being able to pee wherever/whenever!
