To ask who makes THE best black leggings?

Woowoowoowoo · 23/01/2014 19:42

I'm going through a phase where I just feel like jeans encase my flab and make me feel quite repulsive.

Soo...while on a diet I'm on a mission to find the best black leggings. And tunic tops?

Do you mean People Tree Ninja?

No. Pepper Tree.

Nice stuff and seems to be exclusively tunics!!

Not a fan of Joules fashion but there leggings are the best. Comfy, don't sag and nice colours.

Boden maternity trousers were the best.

Here:

www.amazon.co.uk/Dresses-Pepper-Tree-Women/s?ie=UTF8&page=1&rh=n%3A1731351031%2Cp_4%3APepper%20Tree

They're called 'dresses' but imagine wearing that while bending over and pooper-scooping!!

Uniqlo leggings are great and come in lots of colours

overfacebook · 23/01/2014 21:14

Sainsburys!

BabyMummy29 · 23/01/2014 21:18

I've always bought mine from Next and they've worn and washed well.

Birdsgottafly · 23/01/2014 21:20

I bought Next leggings last month and they seemed to have changed.

I would at one time rated them the best in that price range.

Birdsgottafly · 23/01/2014 21:23

Ninja, could you tell me how the sizing is for Pepper Tree? Similar to Next or New Look etc?

happylass · 23/01/2014 21:27

Another vote for Boden.

Mint Velvet are fab.

NinjaBunny · 23/01/2014 21:36

Pepper Tree sizing is pretty standard.

14 is a 14. One of the reasons I like it.

Not hugely big or weirdly small.

MsAspreyDiamonds · 23/01/2014 21:37

Please wear leggings with something over them like a dress, skirt or a tunic top

. Never do the following:

Leggings are not replacement trousers
Your bum does need to be covered to minimise it & for modesty
Your bum & thighs will look bigger if uncovered & worn like trousers
Thank you Smile

NinjaBunny · 23/01/2014 21:37

I find Next sizing mental.

It's probably similar to New Look, Boden, Nomads.

Birdsgottafly · 23/01/2014 21:40

Thanks.

BabyMummy29 · 23/01/2014 21:42

MsAsprey very good advice. There's nothing worse than seeing an arse in leggings, however small it is, it just SO wrong!!

Blondieminx · 23/01/2014 21:46

Another vote for Boden - they are nice and long too!

I observe the rules whilst wearing them obvs! Grin

kungfupannda · 23/01/2014 21:46

Not black, but White Stuff do lovely dark grey and dark blue leggings - they're soft and good quality and unusual colours.

julieann42 · 23/01/2014 22:02

I like Sainsburys and H and M, but the Sainsburys are my favourite!

Woowoowoowoo · 23/01/2014 22:08

Gah! Sainsbury's don't sell clothes online. Why the ever not?!

DustBunnyFarmer · 23/01/2014 22:20

To make you go in there and spend money on other stuff, Woowoo.

justgirl · 23/01/2014 22:26

Might I throw another consideration into the mix??? I find that leggings that have an outside seem down the outer legs make for a more unflattering look....that's always what I look for first. Blush

leezl · 23/01/2014 22:28

New Look do shapewear leggings in the Inspire range which are THE MOST COMFORTABLE LEGGINGS EVER but they are shocking quality and I've had two pairs rip in the same place within a month :'( if I could figure out how to strengthen them I'd buy them all up! Sooo not a recommendation, more a heartbroken anti-rec. So helpful.

Woowoowoowoo · 23/01/2014 22:32

Oooh shapewear leggings...now you're talking.
