. . . to think having sex while your husband spectates is not something you should admit to on TV?

Last night on 'Celebrity Big Brother, Irish songbird Linda Nolan admitted that, in the past, she frequently had sex with other men while her husband watched.

She said it resulted in the most wonderful orgasms.

Surely a PR mistake on her part?

Unless she want to or is about to publish a book!

Pagwatch · 19/01/2014 09:41

That is like the very definition of TMI

picnicbasketcase · 19/01/2014 09:41

She's clearly trying to publicise something (hopefully something other than her sex life)

MyNameIsWinkly · 19/01/2014 09:42

Well, you started a thread about it, so it's a PR victory really isn't it. All publicity is good publicity. Grim thing to do though.

SuzanneUK · 19/01/2014 09:44

All publicity is good publicity

Jimmy Savile might disagree.

I think I would prefer to hear about somebodies haemorrhoid operation than something like that Hmm

It's not something you'd want the grand kids to hear is it?

MsAspreyDiamonds · 19/01/2014 09:54

No shame any more just TMI

longjane · 19/01/2014 09:57

This woman has just become a foster mother !!!!

Do you think she will be allowed to contine being one?

LaurieFairyCake · 19/01/2014 10:06
Shock

That is so inappropriate if you're a foster carer.

LaurieFairyCake · 19/01/2014 10:07

I've got to agree with Winky that Grim is the best word for this.

MrsJoeHart · 19/01/2014 10:08

Why? What's it got to do with her parenting?

Thisisaghostlyeuphemism · 19/01/2014 10:10

Oof those nolans are so grim.

No one watches celeb b b tho, do they?

Thisisaghostlyeuphemism · 19/01/2014 10:11

So the kids go to school and 500 kids say: do you watch your foster mum have sex?

Oof

EirikurNoromaour · 19/01/2014 10:12

MrsJoe do you think that the children she looks after might get picked on in the playground after this? Do you not think that people who care for vulnerable and abused children should maintain some kind of decorum and positive public image, whether they are famous or not?

longjane · 19/01/2014 10:13

All her foster kids and their parents now know about her sex life .
What is she going to say when ask her questions ?

How are the foster kids going to cope when they bully at school cos her sex life .

MyNameIsWinkly · 19/01/2014 10:13

I hardly think that legal sexual practices between consenting adults, no matter how grim, are the same in PR terms as paedophilia OP Hmm

LaurieFairyCake · 19/01/2014 10:14

Foster carers aren't parents (I'm one). What it has to do with your caring though is showing inappropriate boundaries by talking about what you do in the bedroom to millions of people, giving young people a confusing message about sex, condoning an action that can cause harm without providing proper context (a lot of children in care have been abused or have had very inappropriate boundaries demonstrated)

Part of training to be a carer is about how to handle matters about intimacy with age appropriateness etc.

FortyDoorsToNowhere · 19/01/2014 10:19

Her kink is not my kink.

I really don't care what other people sex life's are about.

BohemianGirl · 19/01/2014 10:25

I love MN I really do. On any other thread posters are just so base - admitting everything from swinging, to dogging, shagging bits of vegetable, ONS because "we're all women and this is what feminism is about" not to mention the overwhelming urge to tell all and sundry about your private life. But my God, those judgy pants really get hoiked up bum cracks when it's a s'leb!

LaurieFairyCake · 19/01/2014 10:26

Admitting it on Mumsnet where it's anonymous and having a good laugh about the carrot shagging is one thing.

I wouldn't admit to carrot shagging in public Grin

BohemianGirl · 19/01/2014 10:27

People shag carrots? I missed that thread! I just threw that line in for effect Grin

Topaz25 · 19/01/2014 10:28

I d

DownstairsMixUp · 19/01/2014 10:29

I agree with laurie I was quite surprised she said that on TV actually.

babywipesrcool · 19/01/2014 10:30

Watching celebrity big brother is something you shouldn't admit to in public either.

Topaz25 · 19/01/2014 10:31

I don't understand why people accuse mumsnet of being hypocritical. Mumsnet is not a person, it's a community of different people with different opinions. The carrot shaggers are probably not the same people judging Linda Nolan.
