to ignore this jury service letter

18 months ago i moved house. At my new address i registered with council tax the day i moved in and am on electoral roll here.
By a coincidence our cleaner also cleans at the old address. Every 6 months or so she bring a bundle of letters that the new occupant has put aside for us. Up till now it has mostly been junk, nothing urgent or important. However she gave me a bundle this week and in it was a letter summoning me to jury service last November.
DH says i should probably write to them informing them that we no longer live there and telling them my new address but i don't want to do this. They have made the error and to be honest i am not keen to do jury service at present - 3 yr old and job that is very pressured at the moment - taking time out would only add to the pressure when i was back. In 4 months doing jury service would probably be ok but i think they are unlikely to let me defer for these reasons.
So my question is: AIBU to do nothing and not inform them of their error as it is only by a fluke coincidence that i found out about it anyway and as it is their error i could not be blamed for missing the original date?

What letter?

BillyNotQuiteNoMates · 16/01/2014 20:16

Nothing to stop you writing on the envelope "no longer at this address, please return to sender"

Sorry, just seen that this was last November - ignore it now, no point in doing anything
