to ask DD's school to stop sending me bloody texts...

...asking me to check whether we're entitled to free school meals? I KNOW we're not. I understand why they're doing it - they want to claim the pupil premium for each eligible child - but 3 texts in one day at the beginning of the week, newsletters, more texts and another letter in the bookbag last night?! Can I reasonably ask them to stop sending me texts about this (disrupting at work).

Yes, you absolutely can! 3 texts in one day?! That is mad. Maybe they have some sort of weird glitch in their system!

Don't think so - each of the texts is worded differently. I gave a bit of leeway initially because there was a deadline of 15th, but I've just got another one today... It just feels really grabby (the school's an academy).

Can't you just put your phone on silent? Your number will be on the same list as every other parent and it's probably a case of "Opt out of one, opt out of all".
