Dye their hair?

Genuine question. Not something I have considered in great detail. Just interested.

I would have said 16.

But Dd went behind my back at 13 and did it without my permission. She's obsessed with it - does it every 6 weeks. Her long dark hair has been purple, red and faintly orange and is now starting to look like ...er... straw.

My 13 year old started high school last year with pink/purple hair and currently has blonde hair with green dip dye ends. The head teacher doesn't have a problem with it and says he's got more important things to worry about than brightly coloured hair. Pretty sure he won't care about the dreadlocks she's going back to school with or the extra piercings she's gotten over the holidays.

Not during term time but probably about 15/16.

I always thought 16, but actually let her do it at 14. Suits her and looks great.

No bleach though.

Never!!!!! I have pleaded with her never to do it as she has the most beautiful auburn hair that hairdressers always comment on!

So far so good! (she 's 17)

At 15 dd's very blonde hair had gone a bit brownish so we both decided highlights would be nice. So she had them - properly at the hairdressers - and at the same time had about a foot chopped off so it's now only shoulder length. 14 seems about right to me at the bottom end but I would only have it done professionally.

Id say 16.

Think I used sun in when I was about 14 though.
