You obviously can read my mind, I love cherry and coconut, walnut, coffee, any really! Just had a coffee and bacon butty a the canteen, but alas no cake

You need biscuits and loads of them for dunking. Here's a packet of the BiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuitBiscuit[biscuit

I always loved a good carrot cake with cream cheese frosting but then found out they were the unhealthiest in the world!! So now I content myself with chocolate cake, or ginger and line drizzle cake mmmmm

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 10:26

I'm drinking lots of tea, just wish they would hurry, waiting is the worst, thanks for the food talk, my fave subject!

Pressed post too soon Confused

Anyway, you need to relax. There's nothing you can do except be there for when he gets out, but you should also take comfort in the fact that he is in the best hands ATM and try to keep as much to normal routines as possible. By doing so, you know where you're at and can help out in between when you have a few minutes to spare.

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 11:18

Thanks chiggers wise words, I'm home now doing the housework Hmm
DF has phoned, he's still waiting to go to theatre, had to be there at 7am but always so much waiting, I feel sorry for him all there by himself

When can you ring the ward, OP? Does he have to stay in or is he coming home tonight?

Have you remembered to have breakfast because it's nearly lunchtime. Remember to eat and to rest with a nice film/book because you'll be jumping around soon enough playing 'nurse'.

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 12:18

It's day surgery so will hopefully be allowed out later, they will ring me when he's ready, he rang at 11 to say he was still waiting, thanks lying had brekkie at hospital and had lots of cuppas

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 14:03

Argh! Still waiting! He hadn't gone down a 1.30, why oh why do we have to wait so long, I can't stand it, poor DF must be sooo fed up Sad

OP posts:
kreecherlivesupstairs · 15/01/2014 14:05

...fed up and hungry. Presumably he was NBM for some time.
Can you take your mind off the situation by baking him a cake? I'd like a boring victoria sandwich with loads of butter cream and raspberry jam if you please.

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 14:09

I'd forgotten he must be hungry too Sad
I can't be motivated to bake, Iv done housework, now just sat infront of TV, I was ok but am starting to worry again now, why do they ask people to be there at 7??

yy to the time delay sometimes in allowing for recovery from anaesthesia.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you OP and hoping that you're enjoying yourself baking up a storm in the kitchen.

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 15:07

Thanks everyone, I have phoned the day unit and he's in surgery now, eek! Iv got to phone back at 4. Just pacing the floor now, I'm not good at waiting Iv learnt!!

Any news?

honeybeeridiculous · 15/01/2014 20:33

Well, not all good,
DF had the surgery but they didnt removed everything, just a biopsy.
He has to go back for a follow up in 2 weeks time to discuss the findings, so not as clear cut as first thought
More waiting I'm afraid, and hoping its not bad news, don't know how much more I can cope with Sad
