To love Eastenders now Mick and Linda are behind the bar

I know, it's sad of me. But Eastenders was turning into something from a Martina Cole shitty book. Then Mick and Linda arrive and I just love it again. And think the storyline of their son "coming out" was just very sensitively done.

Plus I used to think Danny Dyer was a big knob, and now less so.

I agree. I really thought once Danny Dyer joined I wouldn't be able to watch it as he generally massively irritates me. However I really like him on this. Hope it continues.

It's always a gamble when they bring in a 'name' because you have preconcieved ideas.
But I suppose Barabara Windsor, Larry Lamb, Shane Ritchie 'became' their characters.

I'm feeling slightly grubby about finding Danny Dyer not bad at all on EE.

I was fully prepared to find him as annoying, one-note and crappy 'geezer' style as ever, and there he is, doing some acting. Damn him.

I think the characters are meant to be about 40? I'm sure something was said about them being together for over 20 years and the youngest son (of the 3 siblings) is 19. So even if they were together at say, 16-17, they'd have to be about 40 now.

I have spent years LOATHING Danny Dyer. Couldn't stand him. I watched his first episode expecting him to be massively irritating. and was surprised when he wasn't at all.

Now I find I am actually really liking him in it, and watching because of him!

She's a good actress actress - I can't think what she's been in. She being the cat's mother Kellie Bright.

Slightly envious that whilst I wouldn't want spray on sateen Sandy from Grease style jeans, she get's away with them!
