Or do other people get cross when you buy an item of clothing and the shop assistant screws it up and shoves it in a bag?
One did this tonight. He shoved two items in the bag and was about to shove in the other larger item. I made him stop, asked for a second bag as the first bag wasn't big enough and suggested that he folded stuff properly. He said he had....hmmm

In Wales, because we have to pay for our carrier bags we use our own. Therefore the cashier folds the clothes and we stuff it into our own bags Grin

Binkyridesagain · 07/01/2014 17:44

Some clothes just refuse to be folded.

CaptainSweatPants · 07/01/2014 17:46

Oh yes in supermarkets when they attempt to put a chicken in a bag with a brand new pair of jeans

Do you not wash new clothes before first wear???
If you do it does not matter how the clothes are cramped into a bag.

DairyFogMother · 09/01/2014 06:26

I usually tell the asssitant to just bung the stuff in my bag as it'll get washed before it is worn.

Yabu if the asssitant has been faced with more like me during the working day.

Spermysextowel · 09/01/2014 06:34

Why wash them? They're new!

Wash clothes before first wear?? Why on earth would you do that?

SPsMrLoverManSHABBA · 09/01/2014 10:37

Why would you wash them?

It wouldn't have bothered me how he packed my bag as that's all I would have done if was packing it myself anyway

bridgetsmum · 09/01/2014 10:39

Wouldn't bother me tbh, it would be for the journey home then they're hung up anyway.

And I never wash new stuff before wearing, don't understand why you would do that. Madness!!!

BuffyxSummers · 09/01/2014 11:19

Ew, why wouldn't you wash them? Extra dye, factory dirt, manhandled and tried on by people.

GideonKipper · 09/01/2014 11:22

I couldn't be arsed to wash clothes before wearing them for the first time. It's bad enough keeping up with washing dirty clothes.

It annoys me too. I stand there twitching a bit and resisting the urge to wrest the thing from their hands and fold it properly.

The best thing about new clothes is their unwashedness. All crispy fresh out the bag. Things go all limp after washing. I would never wash new clothes before wearing.
