to expect virgin to supply a micro sim so i can use my new phone?

I bought a new phone moto g. I use virgin for my other mobile,home phone and broadband. I ordered a sim card from virgin. what I thought was a micro sim. a nano sim with micro adaptor arrived I topped up £10. the phone doesn't recognise the sim. I phone virgin no our sims don't work with moto g . ggrr
as I now have a sim that doesn't work can you refund the money on to my other phone?

what I don't understand is why they are unable to transfer the credit to another virgin mobile account in my name.

Virgin customer service are the pits to be honest, their computers always say 'no'.

I find the claim that their SIMS don't work with moto g weird.. how come Phones 4U are selling moto g on virgin packages?

I bought my wife a Mot G, fantastic phone by the way for the price. Ordered a micro sim off Virgin and it worked no problem. She is contract rather than payg but I wouldn't have thought that should matter. We bought it from Tesco and I bought a code off ebay to unlock it for a couple of quid. Phone 4U sell them unlocked but they are twenty or thirty pounds more.

I have spoken to moto help as it was an unlocked phone and I bought a tesco sim and it still didn't work. so can now return for full refund. while I was in tesco bought a tesco locked one for £99 so not too bad. I only want the damn thing for work so I can claim back calls in my taxes !!
