This is light hearted .we like a bit of competition and the stick I would have got if it was the other way round!!! Anyhoo..I'm off to collect my medal now

I was thinking about this today. It's such an awful time of year to be trying to do without anything and resolving to change. Especially when there are still so many goodies kicking about the house.

I stopped once for January,

Then when I made it till the end of January I decided to try a year.

I still haven't had a drink, and that was 5 years ago.

Dh is still a bit confused, as is everyone else who knows me

I haven't had a drink since new years eve and my last one was at midnight, we had two wkd's each and despite being in a club spent the rest of the night on coke I don't doubt I can manage another two weeks easily

I'm going for no alcohol except for Fri-Sun as a way into drinking less. God, it sounds like I get wellied every night of the week, but you know what I mean.

Also DID paint garage door as new year's resolution.

I keep hearing from my friends that they haven't touched any alcohol in January and they are not going to. All of them have had an epic fail as they had drinks in their hands way after the final chimes of midnight.

I started dry January on the 2nd because Hogmany lasts an extra day in Scotland

I'm no carbing too and TBH would have a toasted bagel over a wine though right now!

Going strong here too. Last drink finished 10pm 31st December. Dh isn't doing it so quite tempting to give in, but won't be caving in yet.
