To want Sherlock to kiss me like that

Benedict Cuminmysnatch just kissed a woman after breaking through her window.
I never have anything nice happen like that to me.

Did they put him in a loincloth for the filmed version? That's depressing. I saw it with him as Frakenstein and Jonny Lee Miller as the Monster. Much as I adore BC, I have to say he looked better in breeches and a morning coat, and JLM looked spectacular with nothing on.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 12:43

Well, I'm rather late to the party too, but:

Good Lord, that kiss!

I read some of this thread before I watched the latest episode, but backed off in case I got spoilers about how he survived the fall/jump.

I was working my way through series 1 (again) and 2 before watching series 3 and only finished with series 2 last night. I sat for all of two seconds before going 'sod this, I need to see that kiss NOW!' and getting onto iplayer on Sky (it had to be on the tv, Sherlock demands a larger screen).

Reader, I was blown away. And I agree that it was the hair ruffle that did it. That and the look on his face. I rewound it three or four times before I even got on with the episode Blush and then went back to the start after the episode ended!

Always loved him as an actor, but now completely appreciate the hotness of the Cumberbatch.

Thurlow · 03/01/2014 17:38

If someone had tried to say, before this scene aired, that hair ruffling was pant-meltingly sexy, I would have laughed them out of the room.

I'm not laughing now Wink

Seriously hoping DP wants to catch up with this ep tonight. Though my favourite moment actually was when John launched.himself at Sherlock in the restaurant.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 17:44

Thurlow - the bit in the restaurant killed me! The drawn-on moustache and the accent. And when he said 'the element of surprise!' and waggled his arms about.

I love it when we see Sherlock's silly side because it's so rare.

But that kiss...

PS - to whoever it was who said they're a CumberBitch - he asked his female fans to drop that because he doesn't like it - they're now the CumberCollective Wink

BornToFolk · 03/01/2014 18:11

wibble.

How did I miss THAT when I was watching Sherlock the other night?! Shock

FrankelInFoal · 03/01/2014 18:58

Heartbroken, if you listen to the radio show Cabin Pressure you'll get to hear a lot of BC being silly, as well as his French accent!

TheRealAmandaClarke · 03/01/2014 19:05

Would it be wrong to watch it again tonight?
The ruffle
The "look"
The kiss
The hands

Jaw-droppingly swoon- worthy.

LeBearPolar · 03/01/2014 19:20

One of my Christmas presents from DH arrived in the post today (cafepress not getting their act together with deliveries over Christmas...) - a water bottle which says on it 'You had me at Cumberbatch'.

I think DH gets me! Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 03/01/2014 19:24

It is the hair ruffle and the look. Dear God. Blush

I might see if DH wants to watch it again this evening, you know, incase we missed any important plot details Wink

LeBearPolar · 03/01/2014 19:25

and in the same parcel were the pyjamas which say 'I'm in shock! Look, I've got a blanket!'

I think he gets me too well... Blush

TheRealAmandaClarke · 03/01/2014 19:42

It was a complicated story alibaba

FrankelInFoal · 03/01/2014 19:51

You've got him well trained LeBear Grin

happytalk13 · 03/01/2014 19:52

It was very swoonsome but honestly I was up in arms because I thought I was witnessing a Sherlock character assassination and began to curse the writers....that's all I'm saying in case I spoil it for anyone...

Mia1415 · 03/01/2014 19:53

YADNBU. I can't stop thinking about him.....and have replayed that kiss several times on I-player. Love him!

Lambzig · 03/01/2014 19:59

DD (4) watched the kiss bit with me and asked why I was sighing. I explained that it would be nice to be kissed like that. She said "don't worry mummy, just get daddy to dress up as that man and kiss you". Is it horribly wrong that I considered the idea?

GatoradeMeBitch · 03/01/2014 20:00

Oh my gosh YES! The rest of the episode passed in a blur after that moment. I keep going on tumblr to see what all the devoted fangirls and boys are doing with the clip!

Mind you, the Moriarty nearly-kiss has them just as excited!

CheckpointCharlie · 03/01/2014 20:03

Wow, I was blown away by that bit too the other night too. It made me feel all a bit unnecessary. Woof.

Thurlow · 03/01/2014 20:15

Lambzig Grin

I've just convinced DP to watch it. Happy days.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 21:38

Hang on. There was a story too? A plot? I must have missed those!

There was:

a) the kiss

b) the moustache

c) the restaurant comedy gold

Did other stuff happen too?

Thurlow · 03/01/2014 21:51

Well, having enjoyed it again I can say there is a vague plot. But I still don't get it, so might have to watch it again to work it out.

I had missed Sherlock's comment on the bomb the first time around, which was brilliant. "I wasn't lying. I have no idea how to turn all those silly little lights off."

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 22:05

I've been watching Sherlock every night for the past six nights and now I have to wait until Sunday for the next one.

I feel like I'm going cold turkey.

And am I the only one who hopes that Moriarty somehow comes back too? He is amazing.

IHaveSeenMyHat · 03/01/2014 22:31

I have discovered Tumblr and have been laughing myself silly over some of the GIFs.

This is a good one (well, three):

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 22:39

Oh, my!

When he pulls off his scarf...

littlebillie · 03/01/2014 22:40

It reminds me of the moment Darcy emerged from the lake. Still seared in my memory after all these years Smile

Heartbrokenmum73 · 03/01/2014 22:42

Also makes me think of when I went to see Bridget Jones at the cinema.

My friend was a huge Colin Firth fan. I couldn't see the appeal at all.

Until...

The kiss. 'Nice boys don't kiss like that.' 'Oh yes they fucking do'.

Swoon!
