I suggest a BOAT rather than a goat. Useful in case of flooding, it does not eat, and you can use it as a guest chalet, or storage room, and it doesnt poo!

We had 2 goats on our allotment, and pigs and chickens and ducks and geese!! (But that's a different story) it's pretty simple with goats and I'm sure if you register it and have it tagged you should be ok :)
