Because I really cant be arsed!

I want the tree down and binned but I'm a little attached and a little lazy Grin

Is there someone who enjoys this and does it for a living?

A relative has their tree under the stairs. Its big enough for the tree to stand up in all decorated so they only have to pull it out ams put it back after!

my dp did the tree, my daughter ate the tinsel saved us having to put it in the loft Wink

i love it when its all up, but refuse to touch it... it annoys me too..

i often think gardeners should offer their services for tree decorating, what else do they have to do at this time of year... Xmas Confused

Mine are already down (including the one that is normally forgotten about until mid February!). I am now sitting with a glass of champers and a bowl of salt and vinegar crisps. Bliss.

VesuviusPoovius · 30/12/2013 20:23

I'd also like to employ some sort of Attic Fairy who would take Christmas back into the loft, I really can't be fannying around trying to balance a heavy box on one shoulder whilst climbing up a rickety ladder and trying not to smash my head open on the roof joist just above the loft hatch opening. Repeatedly.

MikeLitoris · 30/12/2013 20:27

I thought I as doing a great job taking mine down today. Gotbmy living room looking beautiful. Then I opened the room door and realise the rest of my house is a shit tip!

I'll come and take yours down for a small fee sp say a KFC?

Bodypopper · 30/12/2013 20:29

So agree, love putting it all up but hate taking it down!

ISawStrattersKissingSantaClaus · 30/12/2013 20:30

I'd like a big cupboard, just for the Christmas trees; then they could just stand in it, all decorated and ready to go next year. I love putting the decorations up, I hate taking the decorations down.

MrsHappyBee · 30/12/2013 20:34

Oh yes Stratters I fantasise about just such a cupboard (a very big one) with a secret door. Would also have out of season clothes on hanging rails for an easy swap in Spring and Autumn.

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 30/12/2013 20:37

It's down and some cards down. The 'Tude cried and started saying he misses the tree. All that and it was one bauble I took off.

Room looks empty now. I've put his table and chair in the corner where the tree was

I did this last year. Put complete tree, fully decorated in Garage, ready for Xmas 2013.
Went to get it out, discovered it crushed and maimed underneath a big ol TV DH threw in there.
Still, at least it guilted him into buying a real one this year Smile

caroldecker · 30/12/2013 20:50

Don't we leave them till the end of the 12 days? - where do we put the drummers drumming?

honeybeeridiculous · 30/12/2013 21:06

My mate puts her tree, every year, still fully decorated into the loft, I'm amazed it never looks dusty or comes down with cobwebs on Hmm
Alas I have no loft and I HATE getting the decs out and putting them all away again, I rarely swear but this causes a few fucks to slip out Grin

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 30/12/2013 21:11

I don't do the 12 days bollocks.

I actually get fed up of seeing the tree

OP posts:
notanotherusername1 · 30/12/2013 21:15

I normally put everything away in its proper box and all wrapped up with cable ties on the lights. This year I also can't be arsed and it's all been dumped into a black bin bag. I don't care if anything is broken or the batteries leak (do batteries really leak Confused ) I will deal with it December 2014.

notso · 30/12/2013 21:23

DH and DD helpfully bought the tree this year. It is the wrong type so has been shedding bucket loads of needles since the 17th.
I am itching to take it down, everything else will be staying up until the DC go back to school.
I hate it when the decs go down though, it makes all the shitty parts of the house looks even shittier. DH has started his annual sorting the house out mission. He's removed the shoe cupboard leaving a pile of homeless shoes. I have nowhere to put my keys now and he has covered the dining table in assorted tat.
