To take the PlayDoh off The 'Tude til he learns to respect it?

He is mixing all the colours after 5 minutes of it been opened!

How barbaric is that?! He obviously doesn't deserve the PlayDoh! All four colours are now all one big ball and he doesn't even see what he has done wrong?

So should I stop him playing with it and try to find a PlayDoh club so he can learn?

There are 3 other boxes of the stuff to open and I have a feeling they will end up in the same sorry state as these poor colours.

have you been sniffing it?

Gruntfuttock · 28/12/2013 13:22

Shock Disgraceful behaviour! Call the police on 101 now! You have got to stop it before it goes too far.

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 28/12/2013 13:23

Red I have not been sniffing it. He won't let me close enough Grin

OP, you will probably find that your local constabulary has a specialised division for PlayDoh offences. They are highly trained but it's possible that there resources are overstretched at this time of year, so they may be some time. Good luck. I'm thinking of you and keeping everything crossed even though I do keep falling over

Gruntfuttock · 28/12/2013 13:28

their not there. Tsk.

nancerama · 28/12/2013 13:31

I'm exhausted from playdoh marshalling yesterday. I've hidden it today. I hate sludge coloured doh.

DaftSkunk · 28/12/2013 13:32

Argh, love playdoh but hate it when the colours mix. We had a huge pink and purple mixed up blob yesterday I couldn't separate.

Lulu1083 · 28/12/2013 13:34

Sounds like my little horror darling.

OP please make sure he gets it back in the pots in time... It's terribly sad to see the abused playdoh all dried out! At least he can still play with it another time if it's still vaguely sticky

DaftSkunk · 28/12/2013 13:35

Just thought of a solution - just buy tubs of Just One Colour Grin.

Earlspearl · 28/12/2013 13:36

I love it when the colours marble together!

elQuintoConyo · 28/12/2013 13:40

2yo opened his first set of playdoh yesterday, no problems about mixing the colours together - he couldn't get in edgeways as DH eas so excited making Christmas trees and scary white blobs snowmen!

OhIDoLikeToBeBeside · 28/12/2013 13:41

This is why DS is only allowed one pot at a time (he can choose which - I am not a monster) and they are all kept on a high shelf Grin

MostWicked · 28/12/2013 13:42

Tragic. What does he think it is, some kind of toy to play with?
Maybe you should only allow him to play with one colour at a time.
Could he not see how upset you were?

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 28/12/2013 13:43

He got PlayDoh a few months a go and I thought he might have learnt but no.

My mum bought him it all yet bought my sibling one small set Angry I think sister is going to be getting massive sets for her birthday Grin

Most he obviously does think its a toy he can play with how ever he wishes.

Entitled much? Wink

Gruntfuttock · 28/12/2013 13:45

Well I think he's being extremely childish.

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 28/12/2013 13:54

Extremely childish. He is 4 ffs, when will he just grow up and acknowledge the PlayDoh code of conduct??

Mixing them all up is a sign of intelligence, dontcha know.

HyvaPaiva · 28/12/2013 14:02

The 'Tude needs to have a word with himself. I agree about buying All One Colour to stop the madness in its tracks. You should buy this to make yourself feel better.

DH let DN play with DD's brand new Rapunzel set on Xmas day unsupervised. Needless to say I lost the plot when I saw gold, pink and yellow all mixed up and tiny balls of it everywhere (set comes with scissors). I nearly cried. I was upstairs believing DH and DM would be capable of supervising a 4 and 5 year old.

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 28/12/2013 14:29

marlene Shock I couldn't deal with that either!

I too am lamenting the late, lovely, separate colours of play-doh.

It's not even a week past Christmas and there they lie...all mushed together.

::muffles sob::

SPsWantsCliffInHerStocking · 28/12/2013 14:36

Tee is there a support group we can join? Grin

There are 3 more unopened boxes. Think I may hide them
