Just threatened to sing the descant of Hark the Herald Angels Sing unless Dh makes me a cup of tea, and I don't need subtitles.

This is one of those times where you know the first verse then fill in with humming and la la etc.

I am always a bit chicken to sing the descant to Hark the Herald. That boy is HIGH! I always do Oh come all Ye Faithful, though (to DDs shame). Off to midnight service later.

Hark the Herald is one of the few descants I remember. I had to explain what a descant was to DH last night as he thought it was just people showing off. He didn't believe it was an actual written down tune.

We have karaoke style subtitles on almost everything we watch as DP is half deaf. It drives my DM nuts when we go to her house and he puts them on as she doesn't know how to switch them off again.

Carols F K is great BUT....wouldnt it better without the heavey drowning organ? Its such a cumbersome sound. Its not used anywhere else....why cant we have better accompianment to the music...
