AIBU to moan, because yet again my favourite Christmas film isn't on at Christmas?

It's 'While you were Sleeping' in which the drama is played out between Christmas and New Year, but yet again it doesn't appear in the Christmas schedules. They always put it on in the summer for some inexplicable reason!

oh I love that film, remember going to see it with friends after exams...

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 24/12/2013 07:31

There's this amazing new invention called a DVD.

You should check it out.

MrsLukeDanes · 24/12/2013 07:41

It is on today! 2.50pm 5* Hth!!!

AttackOfTheKillerMonsterSnowGo · 24/12/2013 07:43

Christmas TV is shit this year! Glad I have so many dd's and board games at the ready!

Sunnymeg · 24/12/2013 07:44

I have it on DVD, thanks. We don't get 5*, but at least it's on somewhere!

Also, it came out in summer 2005, so probably why no one thinks of it as a Christmas movie.

I certainly don't.

FredFredGeorge · 24/12/2013 08:10

sunnymeg where are you that you don't get 5* ? It's a free channel available on all digital routes.

Sunnymeg · 24/12/2013 09:26

Found it now, channel 30. That's my afternoon sorted!!

If you have it on DVD anyway, what don't you watch it at your convenience rather than at the predictated time chosen BT a tv channel?

You are BU to moan that a film, you have on DVD, is not on when in fact it is.

You did ask.

NurseRoscoe · 24/12/2013 13:27

Yes YABU if you have it on DVD!!

So many things to moan about, don't moan about something completely pointless :)

ShatnersBassoon · 24/12/2013 13:30

I love it too, and I don't have it on DVD so I've set it to record Grin

FatimaLovesBread · 24/12/2013 13:41

It's on this afternoon and it's been on twice already in the last week Grin

PuppyMonkey · 24/12/2013 13:44

Grin at this thread.

Squeegle · 24/12/2013 13:47

Agree- this thread has made me chortle!!

JoyeuxNoelHeadbands · 24/12/2013 13:57

It's not only my favourite XMAS film, it is my favourite film FULL STOP!!

Grin

I'm not even joking.

ThePearShapedToad · 24/12/2013 13:57

Aaargh love that film! Thanks everyone, it's now on record for later Smile

Any other gems around that I may have missed noticing?

asmallandnoisymonkey · 24/12/2013 14:29

OP, I don't think YABU, there's something different about a film being on telly rather than a DVD. A certain frisson that a replayable disc doesn't have.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/12/2013 14:37

Watch it on DVD then you don't need the pesky adverts.

(It's why I CBA with the Harry Potter films on ITV)

LadyBeagleEyes · 24/12/2013 14:46

It's a Wonderful Life is on now. That's what I call Christmas.

WillSingForCake · 24/12/2013 14:48

It was on about a week ago! Film4 I think.

YouTheCat · 24/12/2013 14:50

One of my favourite Christmas ones too. But I have it on dvd and watched it last week. Grin

MrsDavidBowie · 24/12/2013 14:51
