Thanks Pacific

I know he'll be fine, and frankly he's old enough to argue with a few conscientious policemen. I just don't want the same sodding expensive last minute emergency ID Ausweis shite we had in the summer, that's why I've taken it. His wallet was stolen at his school graduation ceremony Hmm

I'm off to mush fruit salad and do things to my boiler. The sparkle never ends Xmas Grin

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 26/12/2013 19:06

Pacific

Aus Fahrt is funny too

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 19:09

Fids, and my mother keeps telling me how high the crime rate is in the UK Grin. This is the same woman who many years ago had her handbag stolen in Germany - in church! But there is crime in D-land, oh no siree, only in scary Forrinland which is full of forriners, some of which wear head scarves. It does not help when I point out that I AM one of those forriners here Grin

Btw if he does get stopped without ID all that'll happen is that they will take his details and ask him to attend with ID at a local police station.

Rollo, you sound v happy about DG Grin - aw! I daresay he should've whisked you off to Venice though [high expectations]

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 19:10

Grow up, woman!!

(Btw, I keep typing your name as 'Xing' which looks even more exotic Grin)

My son just said to me "Name of bully isn't at big school any more".

Further questioning just got me "He just isn't".

Dare I hope?

ZingChoirsOfAngels · 26/12/2013 19:34

Rollo

I'd love to go to Venice someday, because my great great great grandfather (and his family) was from Venice!

Our kids are real dolly mixtures - Austrian, Hungarian and Italian from my side (and very likely some Turkish blood too) and English & Welsh with a hint of French from MrZing's side.

(that's why they are so smart, excellent mix of gene pool and all that!Grin )

I sat down with my Christmas Guide to Expletives* and I worked it out by a process of elimination. I think the issue is that you're scraping the barrel for humour, not that I'm innocent.

It's like twit and the Other Word. They're just too different to provoke sniggering. Sadly, I do have an issue with some other words. It was only a year or so ago I stopped feeling embarrassed when saying er faehrt. This was awkward in orals. Really should have had the sense to work around it...

*I didn't really get this as a present.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 26/12/2013 20:08

I have never been to Venice. Or Paris.

I have been to Tuscany.

I was suppose to go to Paris for my 5th wedding anniversary.

I had a 3 month old baby instead.

Xmas Grin
ZingChoirsOfAngels · 26/12/2013 20:15

aw Tee Smile

apparently Paris stinks.Wink

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 26/12/2013 20:16

That's what my husband says Zing. I still want to go!

I hear that about Venice, too.

LineRunner · 26/12/2013 20:23

Jerusalem is seven kinds of wonderful.

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 20:59

Rollo, good luck with crying DD - been there .

I've been to Paris a few times, but never with DH. I would like to go there with him (didn't dare to type 'take him there' with you lot ), but he's not big on city breaks and our 4 sidekicks would spoil the intended romantic effect somewhat I think Hmm.

I love the idea of Venice, but would only want to go in... I dunno, November? When nobody else fancies going. Crowds of tourists put me off - I am, of course, an interested visitor, not a 'tourist' . Same thing has put me off going to Rome, but I've regretted that in the meantime...
Jerusalem, eh? Interesting suggestion...

Littlies in bed, have white Wine - I need a [white wine] emoticon as I avoid Wine like the plague; it does not like me

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 21:00

Oh, Tee, sounds like possible good news about Little Boy's bully? Fingers crossed.

GodRestTEEMerryGenTEEmen · 26/12/2013 21:04

Maybe. None of the other mums have heard anything and he was certainly at school last week.

He's just a horrid little boy to everyone. But we are all getting sick of hearing 'he hit me again' and are probably going to the principal en-mass after the break.

NotTwit · 26/12/2013 22:27

Hi all, hope yesterday went well, ours was just us so noisy but there werent any rows there's always a first time
The big news for today is I coughed up two chewed chewing gum sized hard lumps from my throat as well as a few little bits which was fucking DISGUSTING a relief as now I can swallow my spit. Yay.

PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 22:29
Envy
HoneyDragon · 26/12/2013 23:05

Aaaaaargh, I have just painted my nails, then my nose itched.

So I tried to rub it with the back of my hand.

But forgot I'd put a different nose stud in on Christmas Eve, so have just stabbed inside my nose.

My nails are still wet, my nose still itches and now it's bleeding and there's nothing I can do because I don't want to smudge my nails.

Grin
PacificDingbat · 26/12/2013 23:11

At least you're not blue or Veeted Grin - small mercies.

Apparently corn flour is v good for small injuries in guinea pigs

HoneyDragon · 26/12/2013 23:23

Corn flour?

I really, really don't think I need to be any thicker Grin
